I visit this candy shop every holiday, and it never disappoints. Quality products and service.

My personal favorites:

February (Valentine's Day): Chocolate-covered long-stem strawberries. The best anywhere.

April (Easter): Whole solid chocolate bunnies, jelly beans, and custom specialty baskets.

May (Mother's Day): Caramels, truffles, and chocolate-covered pretzels are outrageous.

November (Thanksgiving): Peanut butter cups and marshmallow caramel pecan balls! So good.

December (Christmas): Their holiday trays are delicious and beautiful, with an assortment of all the staples. Be your holiday invites' favorite guest and bring one.

All are a great addition to your holiday spread or a gift for a loved one.

We were committed to Old Monmouth Candy for our chocolate...until...we discovered The Caramel Shop! Sorry, Old Monmouth, but you've been upstaged! The chocolates here (and of course, the caramels in particular) is much TASTIER, more CHOCOLATY, and melts in your mouth :-) ! The whole family agrees it's the best! The service is good, but realize that when customers are picking out chocolates from the case, it can be tedious for those filling the boxes, customer after customer, day in and day out! If it seems they aren't thrilled, it's understandable but a little understanding of their jobs as well as making quick selections goes a long way! Went for fudge since Asbury Park boardwalk curiously free of this Jersey shore classic I have gotten every time at other beaches since childhood. When we went here, very disappointed to see they only had two fudge selections - vanilla and vanilla walnut. When we asked, they brought out a batch of chocolate, so that was good, but none of the other traditional fudge flavors found elsewhere at other beach fudge shops. This is primarily a chocolate shop with a few other candy choices (mostly fruit slices and overpriced salt water taffy). Prices/value varied. Some things very well priced and some not a good value.
