I got word that there was a new Mediterranean dining destination in Oceanside and it goes by the name of Georgie's Mediterranean Cuisine.
Georgie's Mediterranean Cuisine is located conveniently on Oceanside Blvd, across the street from Red Rooster, and behind Soapy Joe's car wash. It also happens to be located across from the Crouch St. train stop for the Sprinter.
Their interior is simple and can seat couples and there's plenty of space for groups. It actually may be TOO simple and I wish there were posters or paintings depicting some culture. But at least there's a TV that plays cultural music videos on repeat.
Georgie's Mediterranean serves up Mediterranean food that is a mostly priced under $16 and can be prepared relatively quickly. Their menu is comprised of hot & cold appetizers, skewers, salads, shawarma, wraps, bowls, sides, cauliflower, hummus & kababs. Their proteins consist of chicken, beef, shrimp, kefta, falafels and lamb. For dessert, they have baklava; both walnut & pistachio.
They also have a Family Meal that has everything you'll need to feed your family for one price.
Service is fast and friendly. Their bathroom is clean.
I liked my meal a lot and I recommend adding their housemade hot sauce to your dish, it's got a nice kick!
The only real negative I found here was the difficulty parking. There's no spaces directly in front and their assigned parking spots are on the east side of the building; but they are often utilized by the car wash customers. This leaves their customers having to park on the other side of the main lot.
Overall, I think Georgie's Mediterranean will do well in their location and they are a nice addition to the Oceanside...
Read moreHeaded home from Oceanside Harbor my wife found this new Mediterranean restaurant on our route. She loves this cuisine so we stopped.
It’s off the main drag and near the back of Soapy Joes car wash. We had our own parking spot in the lot and proceeded in. We were greater at the counter by the owner Tony. He explained the entire menu and made recommendation. You can tell he really cares about the customer experience. We split the combination lamb and chicken kabobs plate. It had a rice bed that was fantastic tasting. I am not really a rice fan but in this case I ate almost all of it yummmmm! It also came with pita bread and a sauce selection as well as your choice of two sides. You definitely have to try the garlic sauce, so good! The lamb and chicken were cooked to perfection. My wife, a tough critic, said this is the best Mediterranean food she has ever had :-). Well done Georgies! Tony told is everything this mad fresh by hand, and it really tastes that good!
The host checked in us multiple times to ensure everything was perfect to complete the experience
If you’re headed down the 5 freeway take a short detour on Oceanside blvd east for the best meal ever :-)

Tony and his family are the heart of the experience. They’re not just hosts…they treat you like family. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, they go above and beyond to make your visit special.
The food is absolutely unreal. Sooooo good!!
The kebabs are packed with flavor…especially the kefta, which is perfectly seasoned and grilled to juicy perfection.
The rice pilaf is hands down the best I’ve ever had…buttery, fragrant, and somehow both comforting and elevated.
And then there’s the baklava and traditional Bethlehem pastries… They’re not just dessert, they’re like a spiritual experience. Flaky, rich, and beautifully balanced…the kind of sweet you think about for days.
Whether you’re local or just passing through, Georgie’s isn’t just a meal…it’s a moment. A soulful, flavor-packed, feel-good experience from start to finish.
Go. Tonight. Your taste buds will...
