On Saturday, June 20, 2020, at 4:53 pm, I had the misfortune of ordering pizza from the Oceanside, California store. It was an absolutely HORRIBLE experience. I am a big proponent of supporting local business but I will never set foot in the Oceanside store again.
I tried to order online. Despite being less than 2 miles from the store, the online order system said I was outside the delivery area. I placed the order for pickup instead. I, and my elderly handicapped aunt are immuno-compromised. Despite that, we wanted pizza and we want to support locally owned business so in spite the pandemic, we loaded up and went to the store to pick up the pizza.
The online system also stated we would have to show the credit card with ID when picking up our order. There was no handicap parking close to the store. I guided my handicapped elderly aunt into the store with her ID and credit card in hand to pick up our order. A young woman assisted us at the counter. I asked why they wouldn't deliver within 2 miles. She said they did, despite what the online system said. She said I should have called in the order. I suggested she should ask someone to change the website. She said Mountain Mike's is a franchise and she had no control over the website. I asked why she didn't ask to see the credit card and ID as the website said was required. She said she didn't need it. Had I known that, I would not have taken my handicapped elderly aunt inside!!
I was so frustrated, I said from now on we would order from Pizza Hut. She said "YAY!" Yes, you read that correctly. She said “YAY!” I turned around and asked to see the manager. She said she was the manager. I was appalled at her rudeness and lack of customer service. The store had NO other customers. Perhaps your organization can afford to lose customers because you are doing so well in the middle of a pandemic, but I seriously doubt that. I asked her for her name since she was not wearing a name tag. She said "Sara." I asked her for her card. She said she didn't have a card. I asked her to write her name down for me. She refused to give me her last name or the store number. She said I could take a menu for store information.
Sara should be ashamed of herself for being an awful “manager” and for being such an extraordinarily rude representative to be providing customer "service." Instead of trying to keep a paying customer happy and trying to be polite and helpful, she chose to be snarky and rude. As I stated earlier, I will NEVER set foot in that store again. They have lost...
Read moreMy pizza was a slamming 5 stars! However, I would like to rate the overall experience from ordering, look of the restaurant, cleanliness, customer service etc.
I ordered my pizza online for in-store pickup. Easy peasy. Even coupon codes were available for using (even without a customer account-as it was my first time ordering online). Upon entering the establishment the place seemed very clean. Lots of tv, overall the place was nice. However, upon walking in I seen their lunch specials (prices are very reasonable) they have the 2 slices and drink special and the buffet special. I will be visiting this establishment more often because they just opened up the Regal theater next door but the items they had at the buffet was a small selection choose from. Maybe it WAS because the regal just opened maybe I came in after a rush? (It was just noon though), or maybe it's because we are 2 days from Thanksgiving and maybe not to many hitting up pizzerias. Whatever the reason, not sure if the selection is that limited but I knocked my rating down to one star because if it is that limited it sucks to have a great price like that but no large selection to choose from. Anyhow, I ordered the BBQ bacon, chicken and ranch pizza. AMAZING! It was good from start to finish! My family loved it. Can't wait to order other specialty pizzas but I am hoping what I saw today at the buffet was a fluke and they have more to choose from because a family of 6 we could use variety when we visit! Oh, the cashiers are always nice so that's...
Read morePizza was okay, not all what I was expecting for how much it cost. It was my first time at this place and I asked for a Hawaiian pizza thinking it would just be ham and pineapple just like any other pizza place makes it. I go to get my drink and theirs no ice, I asked a man if they had more ice and he said “we ran out”, I don’t understand how a restaurant runs out of ice but okay, I never drink anything without ice but I guess I had too.I don’t know if it’s my fault but, they gave me a pizza with bacon, bbq sauce and chicken. That’s not a Hawaiian pizza to me, every time I’ve asked for a Hawaiian pizza it’s always been the same at every pizza place, but they gave me something completely different and they called it a Hawaiian pizza, they were nice enough to make the right one but, I had to wait even longer and I felt that the bread was still doughy and not cooked all the way, I’m not sure if it’s cause they didn’t want to keep me waiting and didn’t cook it all the way or if that’s just how they serve all the customers? I don’t think I’ll be returning to this restaurant, it was my first...
