O'Side Strand Café — Restaurant in Oceanside

If you are hungry, look to the Tin Fish. The O'side Strand Cafe is "reliably unreliable", in my own words and experience. I have been to this location twice and after the lengthy wait time, I was unable to order both times! The first time they were out of most of their food options despite it being 12pm. (Supposedly open and serving customers from 9am -3pm).

During my second and most recent visit @ 2pm I was told "The kitchen isn't taking orders, but you can order a drink."

The man in the kitchen is visually very unorganized, and stressed out. He continuously checks in with the girl taking orders with confusion on his face, which makes customers noticeably worried for their orders. And finally, I've noticed several reviews stating this buisness is not kind to homeless people. 😪

The owner here genuinely cares about his customers. After a mix-up with our order, we didn’t have time to wait and headed back to our car near the pier. To our surprise, just before we reached our parking spot, the owner came running—nearly half a mile—with the corrected order in hand.

That kind of dedication is unheard of in today’s world. Not only was the food excellent, but the level of service left us speechless. This experience turned a simple meal into a lasting memory. We’ll absolutely be coming back every time we’re in the area....

Very unpleasant experience! I was trying to enjoy my evening when I see the most unpleasant altercation that shouldn’t have occurred this was so unprofessional and will definitely never make me return to this location, a transient was minding his business not bothering anyone when he was harassed by the owner the transient got a lotion bottle thrown at him and began to start bleeding and was hurt while the owner continued to harass him and yet continued to yell at the people who were around who witnessed this and even abused his own dog he had with him, never come to...
