South O Brewing Company & Kitchen — Restaurant in Oceanside

Walked over to South O from downtown Oceanside and earned some liquid calories.

The place is awesome and right next to a fantastic coffee shop called Vigilante Coffee.

Enjoyed a Mexican lager and two of their Pilsner’s…the best was the New Zealand Pilsner, kind of an IPA Pilsner which I had never had, but really enjoyed.

Trivia was going on toning HR and the crowd was huge, but the place is setup with plenty of seating and a fantastic bar crew to keep the lines moving.

South O Brewing is a must stop if you’re in the area (and even if you’re not)! It’s a great neighborhood vibe with something for everyone; a run club that meets twice a week / finishes with a brew, monthly car shows, spinning records on Sundays and lots of games. We usually try to stop in a couple times a week and it’s amazing, every. dang. time. This brewery is small, but was having an event when we visited and had the entire parking lot blocked off. Our visit was underwhelming, it seemed very understaffed, the staff seemed very frustrated(which translated to the customers that we saw) and it was very busy for the size of the establishment.
