The app is horrible to order on. You have to go through multiple errors to get it to respond. Not to mention once at the store I alerted them via the app, per instructions, sat there for a bit and watched it update to "food delivered". I waited a few more minutes and no one came out. I called the store and the girl who answered acted confused when I told her I was outside waiting for my order but that the app showed it was already given to me. Once she comprehended what I was saying she then stated they can't see the app, only the owner can. She asked my name and said my food was in the warmer as though I was supposed to come in even though it was curb side pick up. I guess I could have gone in but I had already tipped for the curb side and since that is how I ordered I wasn't really prepared to go in. It took a couple more minutes but the order was finally brought out. Once home it didn't have the extra sauce that was purchased, but that was only fifty cents so I'm not going to really make a big deal. I just know if there is a next time not to order curbside since apparently no one is tracking their own system. The ribs were amazing but the sliced brisket was dry and flavorless. Not worth the money and certainly not worth the aggravation. The whole ordeal took over an hour from app errors to delivery errors. I think I'll stick with Huey Magoo's next door.
EDIT Harry from Dickey's contacted me with genuine concern about my experience and explained the app issues they have had since day 1. I respect and appreciate that and will definitely not write them off as a take out prospect. Clearly they got the order, next time I'll just walk in to pick it up. ...
Read moreWe had a deal BOGO for a brisket sandwich for a side & drink. We were excited to try Dickey's as we Love Tx bar b q.. To be honest avoid this chain !!! Was expensive even i. Todays market $28.00 for 2 small sandwichs which just didn't even qualify in any taste as Texas bar-b-q with tasteless sides we had bar-b-q beans which a can of cheap canned beans have more taste the potato casserole just pass on . In Restaurant we were instructed by management to order online for discount to be applied as they were unable to do it themselves in resturant when mangement received the order online there computer showed we were charged full price of $28.00 . My husband was told to call there corporate office as the manager could do nothing. This call went to voice mail after leaving a detailed message or Dickeys office saying we would receive a call back shortly. It's now several hours later & still have not heard from Dickys corporate ? Customer service is on same level poor on quality food taste, pricing. Even if we had received the discount the food was very disappointing 😞 I do not see the people running this franchise having a long future. One of the #1 rated Bar -B-q resturants in Orlando is just down the road. My advise to Dicky's corporate shop your competition price & taste wise learn what good tasting food is & pricing to keep competitive.
Best of luck to the franchise owners they...
Read moreUnderwhelming. I suppose I shouldn't have expected much late on a Saturday evening, but I had never been to this store so I thought I would give it a try.
Here's the main issue I have ... the menu pricing doesn't match the prices they charge. And I'm not talking about printed paper menus ... I mean the electronic menu board hanging over the counter. BUYERS BEWARE!
I ordered their sausage and pork combo, and the board clearly stated $14. After paying I realized I was charged $15.25 for that plate. (See pics) When I brought this to the staff's attention they just seemed perplexed. The lady there offered to give me some extra sausage, and they were nice otherwise so I didn't go full-on Karen. But how does this happen? Stores use electronic menu boards to make pricing changes easier, and the register and menu boards should be in sync. In any case I just felt dirty after this experience.
The food was not especially hot or fresh. I had Cole slaw and beans as sides (even though the receipt shows a potato casserole (?). Nothing special.
I happen to like Sonny's BBQ. I sorta set my BBQ bar with them. When I try a different place, and leave feeling like I shoulda just gone to Sonny's that's all I need to know. And with Sonny's and 4Rivers both just a short drive away, this place really needs to step up.
In all fairness, I had eaten in Dickeys in Texas in the past and it was...
