So I rarely complain about restaurants, but this needed an honest review. This place has always been friendly, good portions for the price but today was extremely disappointing due to sanitation issues. I decided to order sushi today. The girl at the front, although very nice, is always on the phone.. texting, watching videos, etc. I usually don't mind since she goes back to work instantly but today was too much. In the middle of her making my sushi roll, she stops (using gloved hand), touches her phone & replies to a text. She continues to do so until she sees me watching her, to which if course then she stops. I told her that was VERY unsanitary.. texting while making a customer's food. NOT HAPPY. I politely asked for a refund, she replies that "the hand she used to text did not touch back the sushi" but offered to remake my order. I refused a "remake" of my food & she politely refunds me back my payment. My question is what is a personal phone doing on top of the sushi bar? And out in use during a work shift- extremely unprofessional. I will not be coming back...
Read moreFront cashier was very rude when I walked in. I have an optical condition and was using my phone to zoom in on the menu since they didn't have any menus I could hold. The cashier literally yelled at me not to take any pictures and refused to listen to my reasoning. (I wasn't taking a picture, just zooming through my phone.) So I ordered my usual, a philly roll and a miso soup. The salmon was still rock hard frozen and the roll was covered in an absurd amount of sauce. I think she held a grudge from our encounter, because it was literally a giant sticky puddle that was dripping from the sides. The miso had seaweed that resembled the thickness and taste of rubber. It also didn't taste like typical miso. I think they just put the rubber and tofu in water. Everything was overpriced considering the disgraceful quality of the customer service and food. I will not be back and do not recommend this place to anyone. The chef was kind, at...
Read moreIf you love Hibachi but don't have the time to go to a restaurant for it then this is the place for you. They specialize in Express Hibachi. The food is made to order, so it's fresh and you can customize it to your liking!
I came during the week on my lunch break from work and it didn't disappoint. I got the chicken teriyaki with noodles instead of rice and a side of vegetables. (Substituting for noodles was $1 extra) The chicken was flavorful and tender, the noodles were perfectly cooked and the vegetables were seasoned well. To top it off they even have their own white sauce that you can put on top. If you're familiar with the Hibachi scene then you know that "White Sauce" is everything in this circumstance.
The portions are big so even if it seems a little pricey, remember... you get what you pay for and technically it's 2 meals! I really wish they had one of these locations near my house, but I love that it's near my job....
