I had an issue a couple weeks back. I was contacted by the manager and was taken care of. But here is what happened at that experience which adds to why I finally wrote this review. I ordered Linguine and Meatballs- I could not eat the meatballs. They were hard and I couldn't cut them. I submitted a complaint on the company website and was contacted by the local manager.
TODAY'S Experience: We went in and ordered a steak & cheese sandwich and requested no provolone cheese and no cheese sauce. (It should have had mushrooms, bell peppers and onions). When we got back to my office the sandwich had no provolone cheese and no veggies, but did have cheese sauce on it. My daughter scraped the sauce off and ate it anyway, but it wasn't the way that she ordered it. It was just meat, no veggies. I didn't have the option of going back to the restaurant to pick up a new one as our lunch break was over.
My advice- If you are going to eat here: CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE!
Also, the manager was very rude. When I was ordering, with the manager Ben was distracted. I say this because while I was ordering my food, an Uber Food Driver came in without her 'red bag' and Ben rudely told her that she needed to go get the bag. I understand that she needed her bag (I understand a policy needs to be followed), but Ben was very rude to the Driver and definately could have spoken in a better tone and been nicer to her. I feel that because he focused on that customer and was so worried about her 'red bag' while trying to take my order he put my order in wrong.
I am not a customer who tries to get free stuff and I even debated on submitting this review but feel that I need to because this is twice in a short time that I have not been satisfied with my food or experience. I have been a long time customer and this to be one of my MOST favorite places to eat, but I am unsure I'd recommend it to anyone because recently I have not had good experiences. I talked this place up to my daughter and she wasn't...
Read moreNormally love it, but this experience I didn't so much, that is the reason for 2 stars. To be fair we got to restaurant 30 minutes before closing, and I understand how that can infuriate workers that just want to clean up and go home. However, it was 30 minutes and weren't going to make them stay late. The cashier/order taker was more than annoyed that we were there. She kept making a point of what time they close and we needed to be out by then. I was kinda taken back by her, but thought she likely had a long day and wanted to go. She took our order, and once again said what time they close. Yes, yes we get it thanks (didn't say that but definitely thought it). We were the only customers in the store. It took just over 15 minutes to get our food. If we lived nearby we definitely would have gotten it to go, but since we don't we did eat in. The food look delicious as it usually does, however it was cold. And not just oh it sat for a few minutes, but like they didn't heat it. I was disappointed and would have said something but already knew that at least one worker was mad we were even there. We tried to eat as fast as we could as we knew we had under 15 minutes to do so before closing and didn't know if we would get confronted about still being inside. My husband and daughter were able to pretty much eat theirs quickly. I had a harder time, especially with it being cold. I finally gave up and my husband got a to-go box. We left one minute after close and with staring eyes of the worker who took our order. Once again, I get it was getting late, but that is no excuse fir poor customer service and cold food that was supposed to be hot. I definitely would not recommend anyone going in there if it is 30 minutes before closing. I never will again (a win for the workers) and will take my service elsewhere, if it is anywhere within a hour of closing. Food ordered: Chicken Rosa Pasta, Chicken Carbonara & Shrimp...
Read moreI normally don't have any issues with corner bakery. I love their food and this review is solely based on one employee. I know they have the option to make cold chai lattes. On 8/31/2020 at 10:07 a.m I had ordered a chai latte on their rewards app. Their rewards app and doordash do not have the option to select and ice chai or even a chai latte cold with no ice. The options in the app are Expresso beverages - hot chai latte - size option -then milk and sugar option. There is a box to name the order but last time I used it the store said the message got cut off and they made it hot. The options on door dash is just hot chai latte. After placing the order, I called the store at 10:08 to let them know I wanted chai latte cold with no ice. The girl who answered had an attitude and said "Just so you know for a future call ahead choose the correct option." I said "I didn't see it." Her reply was "well it's there." I wasn't going to argue with her. I'm a customer service quality assurance analyst and I'd like to give my feedback. Instead of passively telling the customer they did something wrong, walk them through how to do it correctly. Maybe then you will realize there is no option. Try saying something like "I'd be happy to do that for you. I can also show you how to order it through the app so you no longer have to call in." This way you will be using positive phrasing and self help options and avoid...
