Hot Head Burritos — Restaurant in Ohio

I would rate the food...if I was allowed to order any. Tried to place an order through doordash around 9:30pm. It didn't go through for delivery, but they were still accepting orders for pickup. Tried this way but it also denied me. Then attempted to order directly from their website, and that was denied and I was told to call the store directly. Called the store around 9:40pm to try and place my order, but they dont accept orders over the phone, so they said you have to come to the store. Drove to the store and walked in the door at 9:50pm. Was told I could not get a quesadilla because the convection toaster was off. I asked if it could be turned back on and was told by the girl working the counter "I don't know, I've never turned it back on once I turned it off." The guy wiping down near the drink area told me "You got 8 minutes bro...if I turn it on, it needs to get up to 500 degrees, its currently at 299, so it wont be hot until 10:30". I've been working in restaurants for the last 15 years, and I know for a fact that little convection oven could have been turned on with the press of a button, cooked a quesadilla and been turned off and cleaned up completely within 5-10 minutes. I understand your employees have lives, but lying to and denying a paying customer while you're STILL OPEN is a bit ludacris to me. Especially when they'll end up staying an extra 5 minutes at most? I've never worked at a restaurant that DIDNT stay open late for a single customer when they walked in close to closing time...I guess Hot Head is the exception. After my experience with the staff I'm glad they didnt make my food. Based on the attitude shown to me its unlikely any of them care enough to follow any QC or execute the food...

An absolute staple that I work into my weekly food routine. Has hardly ever disappointed me in terms of the sheer amount of flavor it provides. It definitely on the pricier side, but is comparable to Chipotle and I personally prefer it here.

There's a great variety to what you're able to make yourself here, and as a vegeterian I never had problem feeling like I'd be well fed at Hot Heads. The serving sizes are huge compared to competitors.

Four stars instead of five, because I'm here often enough to acknowledge a few things that could be remedied. Firstly, unlike many reviewers, I don't want to blame employees for any issues. They aren't paid well and seem to be consistently understaffed.

The problems I want to bring up are simple, weird things that have come up. I've ordered bowls that have a lettuce base, that hardly feature any lettuce. I've ordered burritos with half and half rice, that didn't have any brown rice.

It seems that sometimes, the store is out of stuff. I can see it in the other reviews too and know I'm not alone. Hot Heads has been more consistently great than bad for me, and nine times out of ten cooks up something excellent for me.

But I can't deny being really disappointed in the times Ingredients were straight up skimped out on, seemingly just because of an inventory issue. It can be easily resolved and Hot Heads is worthy of a five star rating if they're able to resolve this issue, in my opinion. Very, very solid food. Not real Mexican,...

WHAT has happened to this place!!! I have been coming here for 4 years and always order the same thing. Massive burrito with steak, white rice and black beans. Today I pick.my order up and see these tiny little burritos!!! I drove back to the store and asked if I got the mini ones. Gave them the receipt that shows i order regular and double steak. They said we'll you only got 3 things on It??? Ya, I have for 4 years and normally they have a hard rolling it shut!! What is this!! I will now go back to Chipotle where I don't get skipped on for rice, and meat. You can barely even see the rice. They showed no care for resolution knowing that this mini burritos for almost $15 for 1.. was the size you would get at taco bell for 4 bucks!! In 4 years I have never been so mad and upset with this place. You just lost a LOYAL customer who has spent hundreds over the 4 years here for lack of appreciation on food quantity to go with quality. As well as poor service to resolve the matter. The Owner/Partner of this establishment should be ashamed and look to resolve the lack of taking care of the customer. They might not always be right. But they are never...
