Ruby Tuesday — Restaurant in Ohio

Appalling. My husband & I went out for a date arriving at 6:15pm. The general employee vibe seemed abnormally rushed/ annoyed to the point that as soon as we sat down we considered leaving. Though it wasn't anywhere near as busy as a normal Friday dinner rush would be. Our server got to us a bit annoyed but tried being cheery & took our drink orders. On a side note, the servers hygiene was a bit unacceptable to put it kindly. According to the receipt, our order was put in at 6:35pm though we knew what we wanted food & drink wise when we arrived. As the night went on we saw our server much less, when we did they became progressively annoyed. At one point informing us the head chef was not put on the schedule so the kitchen was slow. Some man in regular clothing (possible owner???) Was bringing out food to people, tried giving us an order that wasn't ours. Around 7:40pm, our server finally noticed we never received our food, said the reason was because the food receipt had been overlooked. Someone else eventually brought our food out, my burger plus the bacon was undercooked and a little cold. It wasn't like our server was around for me to send it back & with everyone's attitude plus the time we already waited, I ate my side & put the rest in a to go bag intending to cook it more at home. I was afraid if I did send it back, I felt something unfortunate or disgusting would happen to my food. The server also forgot my water twice, then took 15 minutes to bring it. They now have portable credit card readers so the server gets to stand there while you're paying & with the increasinly ridiculous tipping culture in America, we felt obligated & forced to tip. The options are 18%, 25% & i believe 30%. Regardless of the maybe chaos of the kitchen, our server really deserved 10% for giving us drinks, putting in a food order that maybe got overlooked, & bringing our check. I even got to later cook my own food so what's the point of tipping, or dining in? We felt like we were a burden just being there, it cost us $64.73, which I feel we should NOT have had to pay, & we were never offered a lower price for the inconvenience of idly hanging out for just over 2 hours. We just left the austintown Ohio restaraunt. One of us ordered the crispy chicken and biscuits. After we all placed our order our waitress came out and told us they were out of biscuits. They did tell us that they could give us a hamburger bun (eeewwww) in place of the biscuits or extra chicken. So she went with the extra chicken. Well it came out and I could tell that her dinner was just not enjoyable. I mentioned it to our waitress who basically just apologized. It was to late in our meals to get something different!! So then our checks come out, never gave us a discount or took it off our bill!! We asked the waitress and were told she would have to talk to the manager . When she returned she told us that our military discount was used, but the manager stated that since extra chicken was given that theres nothing she could do. She also told us the manager would come to speak with us if we wanted that!!! Seriously....??? As a manager of any kind of establishment I feel they should come to the table and make sure everything was ok!! As customers we should not have to beg to speak to anyone, their job is to make sure their customers are satisfied. Customers are what makes your restaraunt what it is!!! I was very surprised at this because when we had issues before the manager always came to u . Actually every other time weve been there a manager has always made rounds to check on everyone. On December 9, we had dinner there. The food and service were wonderful!!! I believe, our server was named Julie. From the moment we arrived we were promptly seated and Julie immediately came over and engaged us. Our drinks were served without delay and our order taken. Her recommendations for appetizers and meals were spot on. The appetizer came quickly and timed perfectly. The food was fantastic! Julie ensured our drinks never ran low and our needs were anticipated. Although full, her descriptions of the desserts simply necessitated trying them (takeout). They were delicious! I reassessed my rating because in all fairness I believe this is the true standard this restaurant strives for. Thank you so much and you have definitely won us over.

Yesterday evening, After being seated it was a minimum of 30 minutes (if not longer) before our order was taken. Then at least another 45 minutes before our food was brought out. We had ordered an appetizer to start, and that wasn’t brought to us till right before the meal was brought . What is that point at that time. Didn’t even get offered water during the time we waited.
