Staff is very friendly and approachable. Service staff need’s a break!! I recognized this from being a server for many years myself. Regardless, our server was still attentive and friendly. I have respect that she shows up and practices excellent work ethic. They are fortunate to have her!! I ordered the chef’s special which was BBQ chicken thigh and pasta salad. I have to say that he appears to have a passion for what he does which makes a difference in the overall experience. This type of chicken is not an easy thing to prepare so I give him a lot of credit for doing so with confidence. Pasta salad was perfect. I like the penne pasta angle and it was perfectly al dente..I was impressed with the outcome especially considering I have lived with a chef for over 15 years and have dined at 100s of higher end restaurants. Sometimes the simplest dishes are the best at a more casual place especially when presented and prepared on point! There is a hidden gem there that more people should be aware of. The only suggestion(not complaint) I would have about the food is my friend ordered a pasta dish and the red sauce was a little too much on the sweeter side. Could be a matter of personal preference but I feel it would be great if the sweetest is toned down just a bit. Ultimately, we were satisfied with the overall chill and awesome experience! I am not in town often but if I have the chance, I’m sure I will check...

Upon arriving for my first visit ever, I could tell there was a bit going on. While patiently waiting, I was observing the atmosphere and becoming familiar with the environment. It is mentioned at the door to see the bar tender to be seated, so I stood by the bar until someone was available. After a few minutes, it felt extremely uncomfortable, as if the only people who were inside were welcomed regulars. Some lady sitting at the bar proceeded to, snarkily, let me know a bartender would be with me soon. I thanked her and let her know I had never been there before, so I was just taking in the atmosphere. She, with an obvious attitude, proceeded to repeat herself.

With much disappointment, I very quickly became uncomfortable and walked out, unable to even experience the food. It was extremely clear that if you are not a regular or someone known, all eyes will be on you as if you should not be there.

I'm not necessarily sure I will be giving this place another chance, the experience was extremely unpleasant.

We will not be back. We usually give a place 2 chances before we say "never again". This place was not good. The food we had was awful and had no seasoning for flavor. The appetizer was bland and the pizza had all the toppings right in the middle. This made the crust soggy and unappealing. I would have written it off to a bad night but after I went to bed I woke up very sick. After throwing up several times I was fine and knew it was the food. One thing is the wait staff was friendly considering how slammed they were. They need someone on staff who knows how to work the stage lights if they are going to have live acts. Felt bad for the guys performing. Could hear them (they had their own sound system) but with no lights they were performing in the dark! Do yourself a favor and find another bar/pizzeria,there are plenty of excellent ones in Ashtabula. If they don't fix things they will just become another one of failed business of...
