Customer service is mixed. On one hand, some of the people are pretty great. There's a young man who's very nice to everyone, and very upbeat. I appreciate his existence. Working retail and fast food is tough, so it's nice to see someone be so optimistic. On the other hand, a couple can be quite rude. Specifically two people. You see, I ordered a frappe from the self checkout terminal. When customizing the frappe, I had the option of not including ice. Not knowing anything about frappes (other than that I love them), I went with no ice, not thinking much of it. I figured it wouldn't be a problem, as the computer fave me that option. After placing the order, the lady in the back came out to tell me that it needed ice. This is where issues begin. She said it in a fairly condescending way. The demeanor in which she explained it came off as "What are you, stupid?" Thise weren't her words, obviously, but that's just what her attitude said. So the obvious answer was just do it normally, and I thought that would be the end of it. I was wrong, apparently. Another lady came out and did the same thing, with the same attitude, and lingered on it more, despite it already being resolved. It was more embarrassing this time, because she was quite loud about it, too, so this "What are you, stupid?" attitude was now being broadcasted to others. So, yeah, pretty embarrassing and rude. When my frappe finally comes out, the first lady said "This is the weirdest frappe I've made in my life, but okay." Again, in that same attitude. This was annoying. It was calling attention to it once again, despite being resolved. Not only that, it was made with ice, so it was made normally, so the comment was just unnecessary. As a sidenote, I was given no straw with the frappe (meaning I had to go to the other side of the restaurant, despite already being comfortably sat down and eating), and there was wat less oreo than a normal amount, despite me ordering extra. Of course, my main issue wasn't the frappe, but the customer service. At the end of the day, it was an option given to me by the computer, so to be called out on it and be embarrassed by the employee over it is just absurd. It was minor thing with an incredibly easy solution. It should've just gone as follows: "By the way, we have to make this with ice. Is that okay?" I would've said, "Yes, that's fine." And boom, issue (if you can even call it that) solved. It would've been easy and forgotten, and your customer wouldn't feel treated like gatbage afterwards. You might ask, "Is this really worth basing a review on?" And my answer to that is: Was the no ice thing really worth bringing up multiple times, and being rude about it each...
Read moreIf you would like to be treated very rudely, this is the McDonald's for you. Before Covid hit and we were able to go inside, we received nasty remarks and dirty looks because our son with cerebral palsy had dropped some chicken nuggets on the floor. My fiancee marched up to the two people at the front and demanded the broom and dust pan so he could do their job for them. And they were very snotty about it. Today I went for breakfast because I had a small gift card to use. I ordered a #5 (mcgriddle) with a large orange juice. There was a long pause before the kid tells me my total is $13. $13 for a meal and a drink? I pull around to the guy at the pay window who asks if I'm the two mcgriddles. I said no. I'm one mcgriddle with an orange juice. He goes oh very rudely and asks if I just don't want the other one. I said no. I only ordered one. He gets snotty and tells me to pull up to the first window. Then at the first window I see three people standing inside just glaring at me. They had my order in hand but took their good old time to come to the window. Then when the one lady did she didn't say two words to me. Just handed me my order and stared at me. Then as I go to pull off I hear have a good day very rudely. I understand your job might suck for you or you're having a bad day but you cannot do this type of stuff when you deal with customer service, period. I do not appreciate how rude this staff is and I don't appreciate all the times my orders have been screwed up either. Train your people better. (I'm only giving it 2 stars for the occasional times I have a decent experience. Which...

Unfortunately, the quality control at this location reflects lowered standards at McDonald's locations everywhere.
Sure, the orders are taken and processed efficiently (If you only count speed and not accuracy - sometimes you DON'T get what you pay for). Sadly, the care taken in putting out menu items is, to say the least, sub-standard. As often over as under-seasoned. Occasionally you'll win the prize of the specialty sandwich that is so salty it will make you feel like an 18th century British sailor. Sloppily thrown together, most of the burgers look like someone was trying to combine cooking and a carnival ring-toss game. Oh, and the only way to get a fresh serving of french fries outside of lunch and dinner rush hours is to order them unsalted - which are actually only unsalted about half the time.
Bottom line? It will fill your gut and disappoint you at the same time. And Ramen noodles at home are cheaper and and just as unhealthy for you.
Update 06/27/2019:
I went through the drive through this evening to get three cheeseburgers. After sitting there for nine minutes, I gave up and went home. There was another car in front of me that also left the queue. I understand that their food isn't cooked instantly, but this is absolutely ridiculous - and what I've come to expect from the Calcutta McDonald's. I don't even know why I...
