Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Ohio

It's game 5 tonight Leafs at Boston and watching HNIC on CBC. First period intermission a commercial came on for some duo cards and I was pretty excited to see them so I rang up Tim's in Calcutta, all hyped to snag some playoff hockey cards. Expecting to see what I needed to net a few packs but the dude goes" Sorry?" So thinking he couldnt hear me over the horn I go "This is Tim's right?"

My guy goes "Tim Hortons?" like he hadn't just pulled on the Tim's sweater himself.

Turns out, those cards are a home ice advantage only for Canada stores. So here I am, expecting a hat trick and getting hooked instead. I'm all for the export of the great white north globally, but especially for the last one on this side of Ohio, it felt like a giveaway with an empty net hearing they're keeping these type of things on the other side...

I've only been through the drive thru once early this morning and the service was friendly, patiently waited for me to decide what I wanted, the food was good. I mean it's fast food. It was hot and fresh so I can't complain. I was greeted with a smile by someone that actually enjoys their job or at least isn't miserable, and making everyone else miserable because of it. I can't say if it's always like this, but I can say this morning, that it was as good as it gets in the fast food world. It was a pleasant way to start my morning. As for atmosphere, hard to say from the drive thru but the outside was taken care of and there were no huge potholes in the parking lot or drive thru area at least. Always have good experience but not today.

My wife and I decided to go inside due to the drive-through line being out to the road. The lady at the register took our order. I said I would like a #9, please, with a donut. I got my food, and it did not have the hashbrown. I went back and explained to the woman that I did not get my hashbrown. She said she asked me if I wanted a donut or hadhbrown. I get that donuts come as a side for the meal. The lady did not explain that to me when I ordered like she claimed she did. What really got me was when I was leaving, she started complaining about me to the next person in line, not very professional. I wasn't even rude when I was inquiring about...
