Big Tasty's — Restaurant in Okeechobee

I am in the area for a few months and googled BEST HAMBURGER NEAR ME. Google sent me to Big Tasty’s. I loved it the minute I walked in. It’s got that vintage vibe, not contrived, but the Real McCoy. It was clean, and seemed to be frequented by locals, mostly. I was greeted as soon as I came through the door by a cheerful young woman who, I learned later, runs the place with her sister. It was their parent’s. I received timely and respectful service and I enjoyed listening to the playful banter among customers and the sisters. My hamburger was obviously hand made, served with my favorite crinkly fries. It was perfect. Next time I drive into town I should try another place, but I loved this one so much I may just keep going back there every time. (The only negative thing I will add is, be cautious with the salt and pepper shakers. The holes are much too big and you’ll have a mountain of salt with just one shake. The food tasted wonderful and the service was great! The atmosphere is just like you’ve stepped into a 50s diner. It looks like something out of Walt Disney World actually it’s that impressive. There were fried green tomatoes on the menu so I had to order some because those are some of my favorite Comfort foods.The selection of regular burgers plus specialty burgers, hotdogs and other available tasty offerings were numerous. I was eating dinner at Big Taste, there was 2 ladies at another table that were ordering. When the food came out one plate was not right. The waitress did not offer to take it back and fix it, the waitress argued about what she thought she heard for an order. One of them actually asked "are you allergic to them or something" apparently there was something added to this womans sandwich that wasn't supposed to be there. After the embarrassing incident the cook finally asked do you want to me to pick them off for you, not even remake the sandwich. Don't reccomend if you don't...
