I had back to back appointments for my husband and myself. All went smooth with check in and the exams themselves, front desk staff is sweet and polite, and Dr. Vervack is great! He was thorough, informative and very kind. They have a machine that takes indepth pictures of each eye, versus having to do the eye drop test- very nice touch. They fail to tell you that costs 25$ NOT covered by insurance. Thumbs down from me. I recommend only going here for the exam itself because that part was smooth sailing and very easy, then take your script elsewhere for frames and lenses! When you get around to buying lenses/frames the sales people are extremely pushy. They try to get you tied up in a sales pitch selling their “special” lenses.... After I requested “normal” lenses the guy just would not let me do it... He kept repeating “oh i really wouldn’t recommend that.....”. He also tried to tell me my astigmatism was so much, that i’d have VERY thick lenses( NOT TRUE), making my frame choice very difficult if I did not choose to do their “thin maxima lenses” or whatever the hell it was. It made me really uncomfortable and entirely put me off. I waited for my husband to be done with his Appointment and we kindly asked for our scripts and wanted to just get out of there. Thats when we were slapped with that 25$ fee each for the eye pictures I mentioned above. We sit in the car for a good 10 minutes with me going off and venting to my husband about how awful that was, leaving with no script in hand because we weren’t told about that fee. We got a call right after telling us the fee was wavied and we could take our scripts. That was nice, but doesn’t make up for the pushy, and terrible,...
Read moreOne of the most inept staff at this location. Firstly, they neglect to mention that if you do the contact lens exam along with your normal eye exam and just take the glasses, then you will be charged for the examination of contact lenses even if you have not purchased the lenses. The lady who was helping us was absolutely clueless. For every little detail, she had to call someone or the other to help. It usually would take about 30-40 mins to wrap up the whole process but for us it took 2 hours to do everything. It was a horrible experience. Usually i have top of the line insurance so mostly everything is covered. But due to their fraud behavior, i had to pay $120 for everything out of my pocket and insurance had to pay another $800. They did not care about the customer because they did not even seem to correct the mistake which they initially made. Also the lady told me that it would take about 5 days for my glasses to arrive. It took 2 weeks for it to arrive and still no one called me. So after being tired of waiting, i called them and they told me that glasses have been arrived since yesterday so you can pick it up. i was just shocked. REALLY HORRIBLE !!.. They dont even have the decency to call or let me know that glasses are ready for pick up even after 2 weeks. They lost my business and seemingly at least 4-5 people more of my friends as i am going to bad mouth this to everyone. Anyone who is reading this, i suggest you to find another place. I am sure it would be...
Read moreOn March 29th, 2024 I brought my mother, who is my dependent, to get her eye exam done and a new pair of prescription glasses. After going through the exam, we picked bifocal lenses and paid $693.18. The order was placed to be shipped to my house. The doctor said since it’s a progressive lense, which is new for my mother, it would take her a while to get used to them. A couple of weeks later, we received the new glasses in the mail. My mom said it was hard for her to adjust to new glasses but I asked her to be patient since the doctor said it would take a while. I was confident there was no issue with the glasses and it’s just taking time for her to adapt to a progressive lense versus her regular reading glasses. A couple of months later, my mom had to leave the country to get a surgery done and she was gone for a few months. Now she’s back and we went to Pearle Vision today, on December 26, 2024 and turns out the glasses weren’t made correctly according to her prescription and they weren’t marked correctly where it switches from distance prescription to reading and they want me to pay over $700 to get this fixed. They are saying I’m past 90 day window but it is the mistake they made so I don’t feel like I have to pay anything at all to fix their error. I spoke to the manager and she wasn’t willing to accommodate me considering it was their mistake all along and the medical...
