Elisabetta has stolen both my husband and I’s hearts! We have dined here twice now; once on a whim (and felt very underdressed, yet they still treated us like royalty) and once again just last night to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we walked in - both times - we were showered with kindness. I’d suggest using their online platform for securing reservations - especially during peak dining hours (we’ve gone early both times, but it fills up fast). The hosts/hostesses have been lovely, the servers have been exceptional (last night’s was Victoria, unfortunately I don’t remember the name of who we had the first time), every other employee we have had the pleasure of interacting with has been just as nice as they can be, and I believe he might’ve been the owner/manager who popped by our table to check in with us during our dining experience as well - fantastic! Just A+ all around. We have sampled several of their signature drinks - including their olive oil martini, which is the best martini I have ever had (so silky smooth) - appetizers, salad, pastas, entrees, and desserts. Every single item has delighted our taste buds! I’m not a huge sweets person, but the soft serve topped with pistachios and pistachio oil is unbelievably good. And I am a big fan of their complimentary prosecco. It takes us over an hour to get to Elisabetta from where we live, but we will continue to dine here every chance we get! Also - the atmosphere is fantastic. Despite the restaurant being full last night when we left, we had no problems hearing one another while we talked and the bathrooms are squeaky clean + gorgeous (I took my husband’s word for it on the men’s). They could very easily play Sinatra and have it fully fit the vibe in there, but their selection of more modern music works very well, too. THANK YOU to the hard-working staff and owner(s), this...
Read moreMy grown kid and I decided to walk from the neighborhood and stopped in at Elisabetta on a whim (a tad under addressed but felt fine). We ordered 2-3 appetizers. I’m leaving a review bc somebody left a 1 star review and I can’t imagine anyone having a ONE star review at this place! It is 5 star all around, I assure you. I only have a pic of my (adult) kid’s old fashioned , but it has that huge block of ice in it and it was presented so well. I loved our server, he was delightful. It was early evening but even though the restaurant was pretty full they found a 2 top for us.
Complimentary prosecco was a very nice touch, and they have non alcoholic version too. Tab was 70 for the appetizers and 2 cocktails and I thought that was so reasonable for the upscale service and feel. The table was marble and to me was cooler and richer than a white tablecloth. Great choice (see in pic).
The yellowtail carpaccio appetizer was absolutely magnificent. We ordered something else very yummy but our server was SO helpful in explaining ….he gave us a little caution about one of the orders and it was spot on….we loved it but had he not warned us about an aspect of the presentation it might have surprised us. Honest feedback and direction from the wait staff is always appreciated and, frankly, practically unheard of. Abe. That’s him.
The overall experience was fantastic. Don’t miss this gem! I’m going to try the spicy vodka sauce and homemade pasta or short ribs next time. Pasta is made in house and I heard it was divine. Can’t wait to go back.
Btw, when I google mapped “restaurants near Nichols hills” it was not listed. Alert google to make sure...
Read moreMy friends and I decided to try this place out. The food was okay, but I wouldn't say outstanding. Portions are small for most dishes. The oysters they had available were really small for the $40 price point they put on it, many small pieces of shell were in the oysters as you ate them as well The Cacio e pepe panelle was pretty good, comes with 4 pieces. My friend who had the lobster tortoloni ended up finding a small piece of plastic in his food, the manager did come to our table to apologize and comp'd his plate.
I had the Taglione, the pasta noodles themselves were pretty good, but it was a bit too salty overall for my taste.
The crispy pork chop wasn't salty enough for my friend, but I thought it was decent and seasoned well, this has a pretty large portion, probably could have used a better knife to cut it.
The braised short rib was probably the best of all the dishes, really melts in your mouth.
The side we ordered some pieces seemed overly burnt and were hidden underneath.
And last of all I did enjoy the soft serve ice cream, it was decent but nothing that stood out too much.
Overall I think this place my be a bit overrated due to it being located in the Nichols Hills area. For the price point, I don't think it's quite worth it. The free sample of champagne is a nice touch, but I would love to see better flavors to go with the good pasta...
