Went it 7:30ish am on 29th and Council. I stopped at the counter looked at all the breakfast items. The young lady was making tortillas. So I got coffee and came back. Nobody in the store (Sunday). Place my order for 4 of the breakfast tacos. She said ok and went back to making tortillas. I watched and then thought I'll get salsa ready. No serving spoons. I asked if she had serving spoons. I haven't gotten that far she said. I had watched her make plenty of tortillas at least for my order. She kept making them. So I just picked up my coffee told to to forget it paid for coffee and left. Was looking forward to try their breakfast tacos since my disappointment with the lunch menu at another store. I've also been to the one on South MacArthur and I40 in the afternoon. I was not impressed with the food, all the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to the location that's in the 7-Eleven at Memorial and Rockwell. The person working seemed very knowledgeable of the menu. I tried the Carnitas Bravas in a taco w/fresh cilantro and onion and the Picadillo w/queso in a bowl. I would have tried the enchiladas but the pan looked like it been there awhile. It was just a bit after 11:00am. The tortillas are rolled out and cooked fresh in front of you for the tacos. I wasn't asked a size for the taco so not sure if it was their version of a street taco but it was definitely bigger than what you would get from a traditional taco truck. Everything I tried was good. The salsa bar included pico, cilantro, 3 different salsas, fresh lime wedges and little cups to package. I will go back and try a few different things. I see they have breakfast toetas that sounded...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFoul, foul, foul. I'm pretty sure they're buying ingredients from the Chum Bucket. I got a chips and queso. Rather than making sure they had enough queso to serve, they let it run out. When I ordered, they SCRAPED the bottom of the serving tray to serve me a congealed mass of over-ripe plasticized cheese-ish substance. What can I say? I'm gross, so I tried it. Even I, consumer of all things, the Iron Gut of the Southwest, couldn't stomach it. Judging by the reviews and a lack of action, they don't care. Seems like 7Eleven is in the process of being toothpaste-tube-squeezed by private equity. There's on OnCue a mile away, who cares about their customers. Please go there. As a bonus, you won't get shanked in the parking lot over...
