I was at Circle K at 23rd & Western getting gas and I see this place to my left and I am hungry which is sometime a constant state for myself so I decide to go eat and it coincidentally lunch time. I pull out onto Western and do a semi illegal U-turn into a parking space to make sure there are no Covid-19 signs on the window and thank goodness there are not. I go to the door and it automatically opens up and I think that the doors are automatic but it was just a nice gentleman coming out and he opened the door for me.
I'm greeted as soon as I was in the door and that is always a good sign of a nice friendly place. As I am looking up at the menu the nice lady behind the counter hands me a to go menu so I do not have to stretch my ne k and boy do I love her at this point and so does my neck. Then I immediately start to look down at the dessert case and forget the menu in my hand since I can take the menu and sit down she tells me if I have any questions just ask.
So I take my menu to a seat and browse to see what I want since I consider them to be rather reasonably price of course I want to try more than one . So I get the cheese sandwich with 3 cheeses which makes me very happy and the veggie with no avocado and no onions. I also get a deviled egg, white chocolate macadamia, sugar cookie and just because they have them and because I have never had one before a chocolate sugar cookie.
Before she helped me with my desserts she said hold on let me put your sandwich order in I said ok. No sooner had I got my three cookies and paid for everything and turned back around and sat down she was coming around the corner with my order. When I tell you I was shooketh beyond belief that they were done with both of my sandwiches honey I couldn't wait to check them. I went outside and got in my car and what do you know both of my sandwiches were made just like I asked them to make them I will most definitely will return to this spot for the service and the prices. Also if you have never tried a chocolate sugar cookie just stop by to try it, it was soft and chewy in the middle nice and crunchy around the edges just like a cookie is...
Read moreSomeplace Else is a wonderful tucked away place with an amazingly witty name. Their sandwiches are a nice change of pace from all the sand which chains around. If you want to "eat fresh" try here. The environment isn't amazing, typically I don't want to stay and eat, but with the seating available, I'm not sure that they are going for that anyways. However, the service is very friendly and helpful with all my (too many) questions. I can be pretty picky when it comes to what goes on my sandwich and they are very patient with me. Every sandwich I've had there was wonderful and the price to portion ration is great. They offer a lot of baked goods as well, I haven't tried them yet, but they always look...
Read moreI read a few reviews for this place and the Reuben was said to be excellent. I was excited, because I have been craving a Reuben. I was extremely disappointed that the sandwich was apparently put together cold and microwaved. I've never had a Reuben that wasn't grilled, and I see why everybody else grills them. So it doesn't fall apart. The rye bread seemed to have a good flavor, but I couldn't get over the soggy mess it turned into after being microwaved with the sauerkraut on it. These folks seriously need to invest in a grill if they want to serve a Reuben. I understand why it's called Someplace Else. After I got my sandwich, I wished I had gone...
