I seen this restaurant on Facebook as a new up and coming spot and th reviews were good. My family decided to go here for my husbands uncle birthday and his family that was coming into town. We called hours ahead in advance due to we were going to have a pretty large guest count at 13 people 3 of which were kids 2 toddlers and a newborn.
Upon arrival they got the number wrong and only had us reserved for 8 which is definitely not enough chairs. I knew for sure we called and reserved for 13. We were seated in a secluded area and still didnât have enough room and had to pull up a table ourself. My son is a newborn and this way too small to fit in a high chair like my daughter. We asked if they had a car seat along to put him in and they didnât. We were forced to sit him on a chair with the worry that he would fall as the chair was quite small compared to his car seat. No problem we made it work but come on what restaurant doesnât have a place to put a car seat.
The table was put together nicely and I liked that they had water already set out on the table for us. Chips and salsa were given complementary just as most Mexican restaurants do which I liked. The waiter was very prompt in getting our drinks but not so prompt in returning with them. None of us in our party ordered appetizers so I canât speak on those. Pretty much all of us ordered alcoholic beverages which came out perfect.
I ordered a margarita flight that came with four mini margaritas of your flavor choosing and a shot of tequila for $22. This flight was massive and I was able to share it with my mother in law. The regular sized margaritas ($8.99) are huge and Iâm not sure how anyone could finish it lol. My husbands cousin had one which she said was amazing but definitely said it was too much to finish.
The menu is pretty broad and has a lot to choose from. Prices are average for a sit down restaurant but portions are small. My daughter is one years old and ended up being the last person to receive her food and we even had to remind our waiter that her food was even missing.
The food portions are small and not what you would see at a typical Mexican restaurant but the taste is very good. My husbandâs grandparents came to visit from Mexico and enjoyed the food so thatâs good. No one at our table had any complaints about the food which is pretty rare for how big our party size was.
All the waiters will sing you happy birthday and put a sombrero on your head which is fun. You get a free shot to take as well. A little weird they donât ask if you drink or not before giving it to you though. It can definitely be embarrassing for the staff to offer a shot up to someone who doesnât drink for whatever reason.
Over all the restaurant is super nice and I would definitely return back with my family and friends. If you love to drink this is definitely the...
Read moreDefinitely won't be going back... Here goes... Get to restaurant around 3 only two other booths occupied so I'm thinking nice we will be getting some good service and food! Boy was I wrong đ so I ordered nachos with ground beef and a Chicken Chimichanga meal! I got my nachos first which Is what I want so that I could take the Chimichanga with me later to eat on at night!! My other people with me got there food and we are all eating well I'm about halfway through eating my ground beef nachos when I notice there is a hair in my food so I was like eww but was unsure if maybe a piece of my hair fell into the food or something just giving them the benefit of doubt ya know! So after I find the hair I inspect more only to find that my ground beef meat is PINK on the inside đ€ą so I wait for the waitress to come back and let her know but all she says is she needs to get the manager about 7 minutes later some guy comes from the back I let him know my meat is PINK on my nachos but since I already ate a lot I was cool with paying for them I just didn't want my chicken Chimichanga anymore for fear of my grilled chicken in it not being cooked through... WELL the manager just lets me know that there is nothing he can do because he can't take the plate back and resell it which I understood not reselling it like be for real but I didnt think he wouldn't care at all and just be like oh well sorry for ya and he didn't even say sorry that we served you undercooked meat !! He said best he can do is maybe a couple bucks off đ so moral of the story is if you have to choose between this place and your local crappy whole in the wall fast food well I guess you will be starving tonight that's for sure đ what a waste...
Read moreWe were quite excited to try this new neighborhood restaurant. The staff are very pleasant and attend to your needs quite well. We didn't use the full service menu as we were mainly there for Happy Hour.
They complimentary served hot chips and salsa. The chips are warm, the salsa was tomato sauce poured from a large plastic container, in my opinion. I have never had such terrible salsa. I stirred my chip in the sauce and I did find an itty bitty green pepper. I knew at that moment I wouldn't be ordering any food if the salsa was that bad.
My husband ordered tacos at $1.00 each, so the menu stated. Although very light on the filling he said they were tasty. We also had numerous glasses of beer @ buy one get one free for Happy Hour, so the menu stated. When we received our bill each beer was charged at full price and we were informed that the tacos are now $2.00 each, even though the menu stated differently. We also received a percentage charge for using a credit/debit card stated no where or informed.
The manager (I assume) unpleasantly corrected our bill. I have always been told a restaurant always reserves the right to charge less than the stated price on the menu. However, they are not permitted to charge you more than the price stated on the menu.
They need to change the prices on the menus immediately. We would have left and went to another bar for Happy Hour with better prices.
So the best deal we can get is never to return and make sure we tell future customers to check your bill very closely. Take cash if you would like to avoid the extra...
