I come to this Jason's Deli location almost every day and usually spend $20 to $30 per visit. Some days, the food and service are outstanding, and other days, it's mediocre. I've had a female manager laugh in my face and tell me I would have to wait for my mobile order even though it was ready for pickup behind her. A male manager tried charging my husband for a salsa cup that was missing from our order, then denied my husband a spoon when he declined to purchase the salsa. Yesterday, they didn't fill our containers full, so we went to bed hungry, and today they got my order wrong! I ordered the chicken chili and received a regular chili. I don't eat beef and have to spend more money and time to purchase something else for lunch.
Update 05/26: I debated on whether or not to come in for lunch today, and I'm beyond sorry I did. I risked ordering the chicken chili again, hoping they would get my order correct this time and once again served me beef chili. Thank goodness I checked before leaving the restaurant this time. The male cashier kept acting as if I was an inconvenience for asking for my correct chili, a spoon, napkins, etc. When I asked him where a trash can was to throw away used napkins, he told me to throw it away in the trash can outside of the restaurant. He literally leaned forward and pointed out the window even though there was a trash can directly behind him. Rude. He wasn't wearing gloves and didn't wash his hands after throwing away the dirty napkins that were used to clean a spill on the floor before handling the next person's food. That's a major health hazard. The chili issue was corrected, but unfortunately, I did not check the rest of my order until I arrived at my destination. I ordered a breakfast veggie wrap but instead received a dry hard tortilla filled with egg, pico, and cheese. No artichoke, no spinach, no mushrooms, etc. My order was entirely incorrect today. The manager said she would refund my order for my terrible experience. I should be receiving a $16 refund, but my refund receipt states I'm only getting $13.18 back. I will never return to this location, and I may be done with Jason's Deli entirely. I will gladly spend the extra money to have my food delivered from a completely...
Read moreI need to shout out a huge Thank You to staff at this location. On April 1st I was headed to Olathe and was driving along Santa Fe to avoid the congested traffic along I-35. Before I got to 119th I noticed a young man walking along the road headed south with a backpack on. From a fast observation I could tell he looked tired and was worn out from the road. I instantly had a feeling come over me that I needed to help this young man out. I couldn't wait to exit off of Santa Fe onto 119th as I knew I could find a fast food place there where I could grab a fast burger or something like that to get back to this young man and get him fed. I saw Jason's Deli as I went to exit to 119th headed east so I stopped there and went in. I was greeted at the counter by a young man who I asked for a fast sandwich as I needed to get it and go as fast as possible. A Mgr. out of the blue walked over and listened to my needs and said he would be glad to help. He offered me a Sandwich, Fountain Soda and a Cold Bottle of Water and asked me not to pay for it as he wanted to help. I was touched. He was an Angel. I thanked him and left asap so I could catch up to the young man and I was able to do that. He looked at me in disbelief for a moment when I told him I wanted to give him the food and drinks. I listened to a brief history from him and know he is from Minnesota and was headed to Arizona. I also noticed his shoes had large holes in them and the soles were detaching. He allowed me to buy him a pair of walking boots at the Target store and also thanked me for that gesture. He also thanked me for the sandwich and couldn't stop raving about how good of quality it was! I wanted to share this with everyone as I firmly believe that I met some angels today and as I said earlier...one was at Jason's Deli. My hats off to you Jason's Deli for hiring quality people, maintaining a warm inviting atmosphere and serving awesome food. God...
Read moreI visited Jason's Deli this past Saturday and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and food. The young man working the register provided excellent customer service, and our food was ready in no time. We ordered the broccoli cheese soup, spicy seafood gumbo, Caesar salad, and the New York Yankee sandwich.
All of the food was fantastic, and even after bringing it home via takeout, it was still warm. The sandwich was generously packed with corned beef and pastrami, and the Caesar salad was massive. The flavors of the soup and gumbo were both rich and savory.
Although it is a chain restaurant, Jason's Deli is definitely a decent option for deli-style food. We even walked by the salad bar, which looked great, but we didn't end up getting it. An added bonus is the free ice cream for dine-in customers.
Overall, I had a really enjoyable dinner at Jason's Deli and was definitely impressed. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality deli-style food with...
