Just not a fan of Canes; but I like they’re open late on the day I went. Like almost 1130pm.
The food score would have gotten at least 4 stars; had they not use styrofoam to put the fries in. By putting the fries (and sometimes, also the bottom of the chicken as well) all into styrofoam; by the time I get home, less than 5 miles away, everything should NOT be soggy, wet, and slimy.
This seems like it traps the moisture in, beading up at the roof of the styrofoam plate lid and making everything wet, and gross..
If they were to use literally any other method to serve the fries in a way that doesn’t trap the moisture, like in paper, a plastic container that had holes in the top to vent; or even a paper box…. Almost anything would be better than the styrofoam. I realize it’s probably a cost situation; but, as someone who eats out at restaurants, and usually the same ones; 5 times a week or more——I feel valid enough to point it out as dang near a share holder in chic fil a, and a few others too.
My point overall is it’s good; especially if you go in. This wasn’t my first time at Canes; but is always good as long as you eat there.
PS: When I was a kid; my moms fried chicken recipe was something she was super proud of; handed down for generations—I’ve never tasted anything that tasted quite like it; but Cane’s tastes almost exactly like her chicken did. Respect where it’s...

Read moreI'll give Raisin' Canes this- they give a decent amount of food, especially fries. However, I felt cheated on the size of their chicken tenders which were soggy and the coating was falling off. While it tasted decent it wasn't the best chicken I have eaten. The fries were also soggy and the food really wasn't even that hot when I received it through the drive-thru window. By the time I got it home, it was pretty much cold and I live less than 5 minutes away. This was my first time trying this place, never again. I thought it was also pretty over priced considering the most of what you get is not chicken, but fries, a piece of bread, and some Cole slaw. The chicken realistically makes up about 1/8- 1/4 of the meal depending on which meal you get and that's only because the pieces are so small. I was pretty disappointed. My husband and I got two meals and spent over $30 with tax. I got a medium meal and he got the large one. It...
