I write this review about my wife’s unique experience at this establishment that can only translate into D-U-M-P. Let me first say that I am a private name restaurant owner with multiple years of existence so I deal with reviews of all categories and the ones meant to be only defamatory are quickly dismissed into the “Trash” folder. Because of those types of hasty reviews, I have a higher threshold for mental litmus tests before deciding to write a negative review about any establishment. Most mature adult diners do not seek to write a negative review about a less than perfect experience at any restaurant. We just deal with it and move on, but if an experience blows that threshold out of the water than one has to write one; hence, one of my few reviews….for this place a minus negative! My wife and I are both are very understanding of less than industry standard level of customer service sometimes at restaurants we patron, especially those that are small private businesses because frankly, we all have less than perfect days. My wife works at CVS just around the corner in the same shopping center but physically a separate building. Like many across working America, her and coworkers order lunches from local restaurants and more often from the ones that are within walking distance. On Monday, Nov 9th, she ordered two items that come with dipping sauces, but she opted for a different sauce which has been and is done at no additional charge. In this case, honey mustard included vs buffalo requested. The cost of one sauce is whopping 75 cents. When she received the order, they forgot to include buffalo sauce(s) in the bag so she walked back with the included sauces IN HAND to get the ones she asked for. She thought she would return the ones that were given by mistake so as to not waste, but the experience turned out to be slightly more. Instead of simply swapping, she was condescendingly told there was no way they forgot. Keep in mind she is standing there with their brand name sauces in hand that were included by mistake. Not trusting her, the owner (while another firmly affirming “he doesn’t make a mistake”) insisted on checking the order bag which was at back at CVS. So, he walks to CVS to check the bag for the sauces in the pharmacy dept. My wife’s boss (the pharmacist) irately challenged checking of the bag so the man returned back to the restaurant. Feeling humiliated as if she had done something wrong she went on about her work. Within seconds after the man returning back to the restaurant, they discovered the bag packed with sauces left out of the order and sent someone to drop it off. There was no apology or even a simple “hey we made a mistake sorry!” My wife, being an introvert and a very polite person never went back to confront these idiots, so I insisted on highlighting this place and the great service…NOT. Despite our conviction and affinity for supporting small businesses (sometimes going out of my way to do so), we will never patron this place ever again. If you as reader choose to do so and encounter such behavior then first, reach across the counter and punch someone to demand better attitude and service because you are a paying customer so at a very least you expect civility for the money...
Read moreI had several types of slices that they offer. They definitely had a wide range of pies from which you can get a slice. I would say that they might be top ten/fifteen in a 5/10 mile radius, in terms of food. Angelotti's Pizza is far from the best or highest quality food/pizza in NJ. They are very decent to slightly above average. My biggest issue with this place is the service. The counter people are simply some of worst people doing the job. They are as bad or worse than some of the worst franchises, in terms of service. I think the person who provided the service to me was the owner of the place. If that was the case, I will say that he needs to stop talking about the NY Knicks with other employees and pay attention to the customers that walk in your store to give you money for...
Read moreThe pizza was actually good but the place was disgusting... The "pizza-maker" was discussing. He was wiping the sweat from his head and making the pizza. Also, he lifted the dough as he was making a pizza and blew his discussing breath under the dough (shot and all) this is crazy stuff! If would have seen this before I ordered, I would not no eaten here. He had no personality! Once we ordered, he did not even make a comment ... He said nothing ... He was miserable and should not be there ... The place should be closed by the...
