Hennessy's Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Oldsmar

We went here for a friends surprise birthday party. I would say many great things about this location. There is a beautiful tall thin younger female that is just as sweet and happy as she is beautiful . She is def the bartender you want! She is super great all the way around! She helped my wife 1 time with a water & coke my wife gave a 20 dollar bill just cause the lady really made sure to get my wife some help were she was having a little trouble (maybe cause she is short and kinda quiet) the lady was just hustling to help as many people as possible in order and with a smile no matter how many waiting the entire time. Even though we had a tab going she wanted to pay for those drinks separately so she could tip that server separately for her amazing service. We did have one little issue about this first time visits but the owner was responsible and actually reached out to us. asked us about it so she could understand and apologize. That says ALLOT ABOUT THIS BARS OWNERS! They don’t see it as complaining but as a chance to understand where the misunderstanding might have occurred and try to avoid it in the future and encourage you to back and know you are welcomed. That’s a owner who cares about its customers and wants to be the best! We will most DEFINITELY come back here because we know this is a family owned and operated Business even if it’s a sport bar for adults. This is a nice bar. It was very clean. Good prices and the live music was a really nice experience! Plenty of room to dance and plenty of seating. Bathrooms were clean and they have a nice outdoor patio area. Lots of TVs if your going during a game. Pool tables and other sporting games. Not to mention this is in a great part of town. As a family who owns its own company the fact alone the owner would care enough to reach out privately and respectfully want to ask how this could be made right and be sure she understood what happened. originally I still gave 4 stars for the tons off pluses this bar had n had only one reason I was not 100% satisfied they wanted to hear me and I am so impressed! What a pleasant surprise. My hubby and I decided to wave cooking for Thanksgiving for just the two of us and go out to eat. We went to 2 of our favorite restaurants in Clearwater, FL and the lines were out the door. So we decided to drive around and see what was available. In driving toward Tampa we saw that Hennessy's, in Oldsmar, FL, was open and no line. Upon arrival we were told the kitchen was closed but they had a full buffet. We asked how much was the buffet. Our waitress responded it was complimentary with purchase of drinks. We ordered our drinks and proceeded to the buffet. Complete with traditional turkey, dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls and other dishes. Then there were desserts, pretty decorated cake, cup cakes, banana pudding and pie and it was all sooo yummmy. The bartender's service was disappointing, displaying a negative attitude throughout. I sensed an unwelcoming atmosphere, wondering if it was related to our race. When I tried to order chicken wings, she appeared frustrated with the menu. To top it off, she seemed indifferent when we left the bar. It's disheartening that this may not be an inclusive place for everyone.
