Mississippi Old Town Taco — Restaurant in Olive Branch

I got the chicken torta to go. The guy who took my order, also prepared my torta. He gave me the order and charged me exactly $17.00. I gave him $20.00 and he gave me $3.00 change. I thought that’s more expensive than other places I ordered a torta from, the others were both $13.99. As I was leaving, I asked if he had a take out menu. He gave me one, and I left. The torta was huge and had a decent amount of meat. It was very good, though I didn’t like the bread as much as the other places. I am embarrassed to admit this was my first time trying Mississippi Old Town Taco. I have been missing out!! Thankfully, I wasn’t late for the brunch menu and was able to get some strawberry-banana pancake tacos. My intent was to save those for dessert. For lunch, I ordered chips and queso, and Street tacos (one steak, one chicken and one pastor) with rice, beans and red salsa. The queso had just the right amount of spice and the red salsa really packed the heat. The meat was well seasoned and the sides perfectly complimented the main course. This place has great, authentic,tasty food! It's a bit hard to find if you don't know where it is, but hopefully once they get their sign put up at the street( waiting on city approval) more people will find it! The interior is super cute and the people that own it are so friendly! We lived in Arizona for 50 years where we had lots of wonderful Mexican restaurants with truly great food.
