I visited the store, then took the time to read the reviews. I completely agree with all the negative reviews that are left for this store. I could also agree with the positive reviews the store is very clean, thereās a lot of different things that are available to purchase, but I didnāt even want to purchase anything after my visit. It seemed like she was in a hurry to get me out the door because I looked at my phone for a call that I was waiting on and she was already waiting for me at the counter. She explained to me that they are currently only taking athletic wear and designer bags and clothes. She said it in a way that she knew that I couldnāt afford any designer bags or clothes or that any athletic where was in my basket. I felt very offended after she said this, even after she said she would look through my basket anyways. She offered me to look through the store but because I was waiting on a call I had to take the call outside. I felt like she was upset because I didnāt want look through her store. My call lasted three minutes and by the time I was done with my phone call my basket was already done so Iām assuming she didnāt bother to go through my basket. I went back inside to pick it up and she said next time the clothes will need to be nicely folded in the basket so they could take a look at them. I was dumbfounded by this. I understand that it might need to look tidy, but the comment and the way she said it was just very offputting. She even went onto assume that I had taken them to Platoās closet and thatās why they were unfolded. This whole experience was horrible and I will never ever go back to either sell or shop at this place. I could tell she had no intentions a to buy anything of mine since she saw me. I honestly think that I was racial profiled since I opened the door. I guess because I am Hispanic I couldnāt afford a designer bag or clothes to sell at this place. And I donāt care if they replied to this review or not because thereās nothing that you could say that would make me feel otherwise. I wanted to leave this review, mainly for people that are of other races to know what happened to me so they know what to expect. Iām not one to leave reviews or to ever get racial profiled, but I was and here I am writing the review. I wish nothing but the best for the store but like I said, I will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was going to give this place the benefit of the doubt, that maybe this woman was just having a hard day. But I decided to check out the reviews out of curiosity to see if others have had similar experiences. My intuition was spot on. This owner needs to be careful before she gets some lawsuits. Here are my observations and experiences. First, I am not here to place myself on a pedestal here, but I am a fairly wealthy business woman in my 30s and I will say, I very much dress, and look the part. This owner has no, absolutely zero, customer service skills. I saw one other customer inside the store, and 1 other employee besides the owner. (Unless one was in the back that I didnt see). The owner and the other employee were spending their time gossiping behind the counter instead of greeting, or even acknowledging there were customers inside the store. I walked around for 15 minutes looking at merchandise that was extraordinarily high for both the brand and the condition. I can find a LOFT blouse on clearance for 4-6 dollars. But, this simple cotton blend blouse had a price tag of $18. The higher end brands were behind the counter, but as I started to approach, the owner looked like a mad, drooling Chihuahua that was ready to jump over the counter and attack, because how dare I bother her or not let her finish her gossip session. The good gossip was the other owner was her sister apparently and an argument about watching kids. First, its a bad idea to ever go into business with a family member, but to gossip about the other owner to an employee with customers present? Your business is going to be bankrupt faster than you can blink. Ive was in the store for 25 min and not even spoken to. I then see a younger black woman enter the store and the owner was on her like flies at a picnic. She followed her around and tried to be a stealthy ninja sneaking around racks to see if she could catch her stealing. She was so obnoxious with this poor gal, I wanted to call this ignorant owner out myself. Such blatant racism it was gross.
*EDIT after the owners response. I predicted she would respond defensively and unprofessional. Calling a customer a liar on a public forum is wild. I think shes proved my point. I challenge you all to go in and see it unfold in front of...
