We had an amazing server, he was able to carry all 5 of dishes at the same time(we each had multiple plates), and he put our orders in correctly. He also brought everyone water who needed it at the same time.
But our food came out wrong. Which is fine. The person who ordered it was polite enough to choke down the blackened white fish when he asked for lemon-pepper, and isnāt picky, but doesnāt like blackened white fish.
I was a restaurant/bar manager at a place in West Omaha for 2 years and during that time the NUMBER 1 rule in the service industry was āthe customer is always right.ā Because we were there to serve, not keep taking when we mess up what the person paying for the service ordered.
He told our server, and he apologized and got his manager(our server later told us he was scared that he put it in wrong, but knew he didnāt. And he didnāt.). I feel that he had to think for even a moment that his pay was on the line because of something an hourly paid worker did.
Instead this manager told the customer that thatās how they make the lemon-pepper fish(the photos in the reviews online looked great, so Thatās not true). He then told the customer that at least he knows what not to order next time he comes. He then offered blackened white fish, or plain fish with no seasoning as everyone else was already done eatingā¦
Maybe Iām not as polite but thatās where I draw the line. āHe doesnāt like blackened chicken, though.ā I said. āHow about you take it off the bill?ā I asked. His reaction to me was āš³ā. I then said āyou donāt have to widen your eyes at meā I think I then said āyou donāt have to bring out anything else, just take the fish off the bill.ā He said āif you want me to take it off the bill Iāll take it off the bill.ā I said āthat would be great!ā
The next time I saw that manager he was walking out the front doors.
In my opinion he shouldnāt have been there in the first place.
You should be able to still see a white fish when itās only seasoning is lemon and pepper. If it takes a customer knowing that, I think Cheddars should reconsider who they have keeping the people coming back.
Iāll stick to the L street location, great all around every single time! They even fix my ACTUAL picky orders like still wanting the cheese fries the old way they used to make them....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came to Cheddars for a lunch on a Saturday afternoon and while the food was great, we had a poor experience with our server. We were seated and it was easily 10 minutes before we were greeted, and only to be told heād be back to get our drink order before disappearing for another 5+ minutes. In that same timeframe, multiple other tables were sat, had drink orders taken and received drinks as well as started placing their order. Once our server came to our table we placed our order for drinks, an appetizer (which never arrived) and our main meal as we assumed weād likely never see our server again.
We understand that it was a busy Saturday afternoon and that ticket times in the kitchen can vary, but entire tables that were sat a decent amount of time after us continued to be served entire meals and leave before we ever got our drinks. Once our food arrived, we still had to inquire about our drinks with a different server/food runner as they still hadnāt come out, nor had our server been by to check on us.
Once we had our food, our server did come by to check on us twice, but at that point it was more annoying than helpful. I think he sensed our irritation and tried to make it better when he could have been more communicative rather than ignore us from the beginning.
The food and drinks were great, and every other table around us seemed to have very attentative servers and great interactions. Iām not sure where ours went wrong, but it didnāt leave a great first impression of this new location. If we decide to come back to this particular location, we will be sure to ask for a table that isnāt in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI live very close by this Cheddar's and was excite that the opened a location in NW Omaha. Well, that excitement is over. Since this location has opened I have order to go 4 times. Each time my food is prepared wrong and something is always missing and it is typically the extra sauce they charge you for. I figured it out with this location, they do not value to go orders and they will consistently give you messed up food. Tonight was the last straw and I won't be going back.
I order the steak and rib combo. The steak was beyond dry and the ribs were dried out and uneatable. I've attached pictures so you can judge if you want to order to go from this restaurant. In the past I didn't complain, but tonight I called and talked to the manager, she took my receipt information and was very nice about it and offered me a refund. However, she was surprised when I didn't want the refund and said that is what most people want, and I said no I am hungry and I just want properly prepared food. I think this location is used to having wrong to go orders and they will just give you refund. I am not looking for something for nothing I just want my food to be right.
Forget taking their survey's either cause nothing has changed when I take them, same horrible food experience! Please don't bother giving my review a canned were sorry response, the food speaks for itself and more importantly the pattern of supplying horrible food on multiple occasions...
