Very solid cookies in terms of texture, but flavorwise it depends on your tastes.
I'm not sure if it's due to the never ending lines, or maybe they try to have them fresher so the wait times are longer, but the cookies did come out warm.
The lines here tend to be long, it seems to have a great following. We did find out part of the reason for that long wait. They will stop taking orders inside to catch up. So it's not a continuous flow of cookie handoffs at the moment. We waited 40 minutes, the line seemed to always be the same length when we got there (I'm guessing coincidence), but we did watch them stop taking orders when we got there.
Protip: get there early at 8 or 9 am I am told. There tends to be little to no lines then. We went at 3pm on Saturday, but drove by earlier at 1pm and the lines were worse
They were out of 2 flavors when we went so we grabbed the other 4.
Red velvet 3 stars for me, but this was a favorite of one of my friend. My chef friend didn't particularly like this one either. I'm picky about chocolate and it might have just been that day that I wasn't feeling it? I had a bite and didn't really want to keep eating it.
Snicker doodle 3 stars for me, again a favorite of another friend. My chef friend thought it was ok, but someone else thought it didn't have enough flavor? I thought it was just too sweet. I've never been a fan of snicker doodle so I probably wouldn't take my opinion if it's your thing.
Boston cream 4.5 stars Caramel cake 4.5 stars
I had trouble deciding which one I favored more between the two. The base cookie on this is similar, though I think there was a slight preference for caramel cake. That was the chefs favorite. These ones tended to be less sweet in my opinion then the first two which made it better for me. I like sweet but the other two were too much.
The boston cream was the favorite of my 4th friend so it was kind of all over the place between my friends and I.
Parking is available in a medium sized shared lot.
Final thoughts: people kept asking me was it worth the wait? If you're in good company and you know you will be waiting you can plan to hang out with friends outside in the nice weather. For not good weather I'd skip though and wait for a better day.
I did order the ice cream but I'll update my review when I've actually had a chance...
Read moreTHEY LIE Make sure your speaking to the REAL MANAGER
Had my wife head down to crumble on lakeside for cookies not only did we walk away with free cookies which I was more than ok with paying for but also 5 pending transactions across 3 cards which I wasn't happy about being locked out of my own finances over a business Mismanagement but the real issue is the lies my wife was told some girl called Angela was the manager SHE IS NOT THE MANAGER this girl told my wife the card was declined 3times and twice more on two separate cards by this point she charged the first card a 4th time diddnt use the crumble cash we had on our account so by this point we are about way over 50$ out of pocket for these cookies with no discernable idea when we would be getting this back to top it off the look my wife got from the girl behind the counter was very unprofessional looking down on her as if she was some poor homeless person as you can guess this experiance was pretty bad...
now I know not everyone can magically lose 50$ on a Friday and not have a bill bounce luckily this wasn't our situation but could of been avoided if the real manager had been called up front I don't understand why they had to lie or if There was something else illegal going on either wayupon realizing another they had screwed us again my wife called the shop...
Finally after calling which was answered very quickly we were able to get this partially resolved still out 50 plus dollars till next week
this was the second time we had an issue the first time our mobile order was unfulfilled even after placing and paying for it hours ahead of time this did result in free cookies which it was handled really well but this left my wife a previously weekly customer refusing to go back ever again it made her feel so bad she went from a weekly consumer (sometimes more if she asked) to being concrete in never using this shop again this was the direct fault of the two employees who handled this issue before...
Read moreThe first and last experience I had at the Lakeside location was on 3/7/23. I ordered one of each offered flavor (six cookies), pre-paid, and set the time I would arrive. I live over 30 minutes away from the nearest Crumbl so I wanted to get in and out over my lunch hour as quickly as possible. Upon arrival, I was told one of the flavors just sold out. What? What's the purpose of pre-ordering AND pre-paying AND providing an ETA if cookies aren't being set aside for those orders? I get it, they don't box them up prior to arrival, but you would think they would have a separate storing location for cookies already accounted for (they are pre-paid for after all)! Not a great first impression. I ended up waiting the 25 minutes for more of that flavor to be made since it was the one my son asked for. When presented with the box of cookies, one of them had the fruit topping fallen off. I mentioned the cookie was defective (for $4 a cookie they should be perfect), so the presenter picked up the blueberries and smashed them back on top of the cookie. I asked for a new one. They did exchange it. The cookies were cut into fourths and were eaten by me and 3 children. They were good, which is why this review got 2 stars, for the 4 of 6 yummy cookies (the chocolate chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies were not good). I will not go to the Lakeside location again, but I would be willing to try a...
