If I could score this place a 0 star I would. I almost never leave reviews for restaurants, but this was the dirtiest, most unorganized and most poorly ran DQ or restaurant I’ve ever been to. We eat out often with traveling sports and this was by far the worst!! We ordered our food and ice cream, which I’ve cream came out first. They screamed out what it was, set it on the counter and walked away. In any other DQs we have ever dined in at they put it on a tray and bring service all at once to your table. Needless to say our order was wrong. We were missing an ice cream. We also all ordered food and drinks. Going to get our drinks it was noted the pop machine wasn’t working. I brought this to an employee’s attention, although quickly disregarded. No solution was offered nor was the problem fixed. The environment of the restaurant was trashed. Melted ice cream on most tables, dripping down a wall by our table which we had to wipe down to sit at. No napkins, out of ketchup, no ice, no drink cup lids just to name a few issues. The prep area where the employees were creating ice cream was filthy food and trash on the floor, the counter prep table with the various toppings was beyond gross. Employees kicking trash out of the way rather than picking it up. No hair nets and no gloves for food prep. The young man working on the counter was handling money and cards then going back and handling food with no hand hygiene. After 30 minutes of not getting our food I returned to the counter to ask about our order, come to find out the food was up just sitting on the warmer. So we were given old fries and mediocre food. We are a family of 6 and it was the worst $75 I’ve spent on food in any of our travels. The corporate office most definitely should look into this location as it is not creating a good reputation for...
Read moreOn the evening of Sunday 5/4 I went into the Lakeside Dairy Queen. They were busy per usual - long line - long line at the drive thru. I ordered my meal after waiting about 15 minutes in line. While waiting for my order to be ready everyone in the restaurant had been waiting at least 30-45 minutes each for their orders. One customers order got lost. I waited 1 hour for my order to be ready - patiently just observing - during that one hour only four associates were actively working and one of them was at the drive thru taking the orders. There was an associate in the back standing staring off into space for about 45 minutes straight without moving. She was wearing gloves and wiped her face with them and touched her hair. The restaurant was an absolute mess and no supervision/manager in site, someone who looked like they may be the manager was doing all the work and no associates were being directed to assist. When my order was ready they forgot the drink cup and I waited up at the counter until I could flag someone down as they were avoiding the counter due to complaints from customers. When I opened the ranch in the bag of food, the ranch was hot and curdled. It looked old like it had been sitting out all day. This location needs some sort of managerial supervision or different managerial supervision. The condiments, cups, lids over the machines were all out and food was everywhere. I could not even get a lid for my drink. Customers were directing people in line to go elsewhere due to the chaos and dysfunction. This is not the first time I have experienced this. I should have gotten a refund for the awful experience and low...
Read moreAfter waiting 30 min in the drive thru line, we waited another 7 minutes at the speaker. At least 3 or those minutes, there were zero cars ahead of us nor at the window, and the lobby is closed due to Covid. We waited another 6-10 minutes at the window. During this time, there were no sign of any employees. When the employees were seen, they didn't appear to be doing much to help the customers waiting. The manager was even seen taking her phone out, checking it, and putting it away without washing her hand before touching food. After waiting a total 45min to an hour for just ice cream, the blizzard I got was only half full and runny. The employee pretty much shut the window as fast as he could so we couldn't say anything and ignored us while attempting to get his attention. My husband finally knocked on the window to get his attention. It apparently did the job too well. The young, male employee came over and aggressively began shouting at us. So much so, the manager had been prompted to come over and tell him several times to calm down and back off. It was the weirdest thing... we casually knocked, we didn't even knock hard, so he was mealy angry we were questioning anything... When I was finally able to speak to the manager, she acted very aloof. When I showed her the blizzard, she reluctantly offered to fill it the rest of the way, but by that time, I didn't want them touching my food, and left. I will never...
