My family was excited to order from one of our favorites tonight - PepperJax! We ordered 5 Phillie Steak Subs on line. We were excited to have a night in and watch Ted Lasso while eating our steak subs. 4 of the subs were requested to have cheese and the 5th cheese was not picked to have cheese. Needless to say, cheese was on all subs. I absolutely do not like cheese on my sub. Therefore, we made sure that cheese was not selected for my sub. It was very upsetting that our evening of family time was disrupted but our ordering being made incorrectly. I called and spoke to the manager. He said that he clearly remembers the large order and told me that because we did not order correctly on line that essentially this was my fault. His crew didn’t know what to do. He did offer to remake it and I asked if he’d add fries with it for the inconvenience. He said yes. My son went to go pick up my remade order after he ate. He came back with just a sub. No fries. My son said that the manager and crew gave him no eye contact and ignored him. The cashier gave him my sub. There was no conversation or apology. Read moreI would ABSOLUTELY not recommend this location. I have been to other locations and they have by far been nicer and less racist than this establishment. When I ordered two steak bowls the "manager" put less than usual servings of rice and beans and when I asked for a bit more he did it without saying anything. Then goes to the cashier and whispers in his ear. When I go to pay he tells me it's 20 something and when I asked how much a rice bowl is, he says it's $7 something. Meaning that I was charged an extra $7 for less than 1/4th of a cup of rice and beans. Yet the lady in front of me was not charged for the extra rice she also asked for because the "manager" didn't put the usual serving. I love PepperJax, but I will not be returning to this location. At least let the customer know that there is an extra charge of $7 for a serving of 1/4 cup of rice and beans. I would have understood if I was told that there will be an extra charge, but it's poor customer service to not say anything and tell the customer the total at the end expecting them to pay it. Read moreThis place isn't the same without the old manager. The staff walks around like they are stoned out of their minds or have zero clue what they are supposed to be doing to be efficient. The pinto beans were cold mush that they still served to customers, the griddle was so freaking dirty that it had an inch of burnt build up on it. Instead of stopping to clean it, they kept using it. The kids behind the counter kept dropping things on the floor and grabbing them with their gloves and not changing the gloves out before proceeding to reach back into the toppings. The amount of dirty dishes and trash all over the serving counter was insane. When no customers were in line, the staff stood around talking to each other or checking their phones instead of cleaning, restocking and setting up for the next influx of customers.
This place is not worth visiting anymore.
And Mr or Mrs Manager, before you respond with a generic reply to reach out to you, it might be beneficial for you to address what your actual plans are for the people who are reading these.
