As a recording artist, if I can’t get on to reserve or make a reservation, I can’t do anything, that’s the websites issue sadly, I called in the morning and afternoon and nobody picks up the phone. Earlier I was in town this morning and the restaurant was close, cars were parked outside, how do I make a reservation if it’s not in my capable reach, and no less today for my partners bday. Nebraska In general has this problem state wide not just Omaha every location in the state. This is why I have now opt out of touring in this state based on this contious experience of entering a business and simply cannot get anything. Can’t reserve on site, every time I do there’s an error, I call nobody picks up, it’s as if servers are above that ability, so it seems, I used to work in restaurants and the least I did in this situation was call customers to assure they were coming, assure an accurate booking, but 2023 is not the same as 2012, the environment was nice however, I would’ve done more, not because of who I am, but because I am not giving my customer enough info, we couldn’t address the issue because of course you just opened up. There are many tables available but from what it seems you don’t have enough cooks to do the service available. I just called two locations in Florida and they have openings as we speak but sadly I choose to stay in Nebraska for this weekend and clearly, my decision was wasted, I will not tour in Nebraska, it seems Nebraska itself has a lot of more growing to stabilize enough bodies at a restaurant and yes this problem each of your citizens is sadly aware of this! I am disappointed. Had an entire stack to drop tonight and I would’ve tipped my servers and cooks handsomely. But sadly, this experience has caused me to no longer wish to dine in because it’s either one problem or another. This is not a bad review this is just a comment on my behalf. Please check your websites it does not take that long for a lazy manager sitting in the back to call his corporate or regional director to get the website looked at or offer an email to make a reservation. It just sucks. I hope that the it improves but as far as my and my Cuban family is concerned I’m not coming back here.
Thank you for this first experience as it is my first impression of yet another restaurant in Nebraska that seems to lack initiative. I hope with all the political stuff going on that we were not given that above and beyond effort because we maybe a bunch of a Hispanics and one of us has an Afro and one would dwell on that visual for a moment.
Thank you and hope that this improves for...
Read moreWorst experience ever! So uncomfortable from the experience, the fully comp'd meal wasn't enough to make me ever go back. I wanted to take friends out to a nice restaurant and Johnny's was closed, most likely to the weather, so we decided on Kobe. We had a party of 4, and the drinks took forever to arrive. We finally got our drinks and they brought out the wrong drink. The soup tasted like dried onions soaked in water with some pepper. The salad was o.k., but the worse was yet to come. The guy who was on the grill made the experience unbelievable, and not in a good way! He tried to get us to roll a joint with the seasoning at the table, he then proceeded to tell us to meet him in the parking lot after our meal and that he only takes cash. He kept flirting with my guest and kept bringing up the fact that she is allergic to chunks of onion. So much so, that he joked about putting the whole onion at the end on her plate. I don't eat shrimp and he kept trying to get me to eat it. When I refused he seemed angry. My wife didn't want to catch the shrimp and again he seemed angry. My wife couldn't wait to leave the table. When the "show" was over the waitress came back to the table and asked us how the meal was, at that point my wife and her friend look at each other and one says if she doesn't say anything the other will so we let her know what happened and she went and got the manager. We again explained to the manager what happened and she tried to justify what happened, by saying the cook probably thought we were adult enough to be able to talk about weed with. She then offered a discount and my wife said she had lost her appetite. The medium rare filet was medium well to well done at best food was bland and salty both. He threw the entire onion away since one of our friends requested no onion. The manager then said she would comp the whole meal and left. The waitress then boxed our food and we were nervous the cook would try to flag us down in the parking lot. We will...
Read moreKobe Steakhouse is one of those places you go on a special occasion. It's something fun and different and a good experience to take a family member business clients.
We recently went for a daughter's birthday. Every time we've driven by their she tells me she wants to go eat there even though she did not know what kind of restaurant it was. The building just look cool.
The meals are served with a smile Japanese broth and a salad with ginger dressing. The brightest light with just flecks of carrots and scallions as per the Japanese tradition. It's a light broth that does not weigh heavy on you. The salad small single serving of mixed green lettuce live a ginger dressing.
You can order variations of a standard menu. My favorite is the Kobe special which is a sirloin steak and lobster tail. You can order steak and shrimp, frequent chicken breast or shrimp calamari. All of them turned out great. You can also add mushrooms to your order and they're cooked in front of you just like everything else.
In my liking the food was very good and cooked to perfection I like my steak medium and he got it just right. It's kind of hard to do is your flipping knives and long-bladed speechless around while talking and putting on a show for those who you're cooking for 2 feet away.
As I said earlier the show is part of the experience the meal. What's all the jokes the same from cook to cook and dining time. So it's not something that you would go to on a weekly or monthly basis unless you really just did the witty banter and impressive knife work. This type of venue really does invest to a special occasion setting.
Food prices are fairly reasonable. And the drinks are not overly priced. I had a mai tai which was charge $7 for. The Kobe special was around $30 for the steak and lobster.
If you let them know that it's a birthday they will arrange a cheesecake and a very loud dog and song show just for you. It's an additional charge but always...
