We go to midtown Thirst Tea Cafe all the time, so we already had high expectations. Luckily this location is right near where we usually do a lot of shopping so it's pretty convenient. It's unfortunate it's so out of view of the road.
We weren't disappointed at all. The tea was delicious, and the aloe filling one of us got was actually real aloe, not some aloe flavored jelly. I also got the soft serve, which I don't believe they have at the other location, and it was surprisingly good! I'm usually pretty skeptical of soft serve; typically most soft serve is good for cooling down but not that great flavor-wise. The flavor of the soft serve I got here was genuinely delicious. I got the Matcha Green Tea and Charcoal Vanilla mix, and I'd definitely get it again.
One of the people working there recognized us from the other store and offered us a taste of the honeydew. It tasted exactly like the most perfectly ripe honeydew you've ever had. I'm not a big fan of actual honeydew because I feel like whenever I get it it's hardly sweet at all, but I'll definitely be getting the honeydew soft serve...
Read moreI’ve always loved Thirst Tea, but my recent experience was incredibly disappointing, and I feel compelled to warn others who regularly buy their onigiri. We ordered 5 kimchi onigiri’s, and they were inedible—absolutely horrible. We suspected the kimchi might have been expired, so we decided to bring it to their attention. We returned two of the onigiri (the other three had already been bitten), but instead of addressing the issue directly, the manager refused to come out and speak with us. We were told that they had switched distributors, which was apparently the reason for the bad taste. As we sat in our car, we noticed the manager came out to the front to speak with her employee and was visibly rolling her eyes—so incredibly unprofessional. The employee, who was clearly uncomfortable, did her best to handle the situation politely, but the lack of support from the manager made the whole experience worse. Terrible food and terrible...
Read moreGood snacks and drinks, really bad attitude from staff at this location. I ordered a chai tea, but was accidentally given a Thai tea which is understandable because of masks and plexiglass, but due to a dairy allergy I can’t have it. I went back inside and asked if I could buy a chai tea instead because of my allergy. The girl working immediately copped an attitude and said “Well tell us that when you order the drink.” So apparently that’s my fault because I should have known there was dairy in it even though the menu in-store gives NO indication of which drinks have dairy and which don’t lol. All in all I like thirst tea, but this location has consistently been rude and I felt like this interaction in particular was super inappropriate when I was simply asking to buy a different drink. I appreciate not being charged for it, but being given the silent treatment after ordering another drink was just...
