I have been to this location often and let me start with this. The location has very recently come under new owners that also bought out the 60th and Military (ish) Ave. They bought and shut down the 60th location just to take its equipment to re-furnish the 90th and maple location. The manager there is a very friendly, and a well appreciated one by both the company and customers. Considering they have a drive through option, which isn't most ideal for a kind of business that requires the customer to choose every single ingredient and dictate the amount, it can be a bit of a wait in drive through. Personally I don't think any Subway should have drive through as an option as it's visually and personally dictated food ingredients. It's worth going inside to witness if you feel your list of ingredients, its amounts, how they're distributed, and if you'd like something to keep on the side for adding later to help preserve the sandwich from getting soggy. That all being said, I would like to add that I think they have excellent and relatively prompt customer service, remember that they always staff a small crew as its not financially viable for them to have eight people on a shift, so that can lead to some lengthy drive through times, as a potential customer inside will not always be completely ready and rapid in what they order, as well as possibly ordering multiple subs, that they then again ,have to ask for every little ingredient. Keep in mind as well that, if one were to order, for example a chicken bacon ranch sub, the option is just a baseline. You may not want ranch on it, but are just using it as a basis for the stripped chicken and bacon. Another example would be sweet onion chicken teriyaki. You may not want the sweet onion sauce that is in a squirt bottle, just the teriyaki sauce its covered in. In addition to that you may not even want what would typically be a sub that would normally have heated meat, heated or want the meat heated separately, not toasted, and with or without the cheese melted on it or not. Considering all these factors, a person should realize it's not really a 'fast-food' business like McDonalds, where they already have a lot of pre-made sandwiches just sitting in a heated bin, ready to serve instantly, and may just need some added or subtracted ingredients. So, I would like to say that I've only had one personal experience where I wasn't pleased by the service or amount of time it took. I was forgiving of it and had to complaints because I could tell the person serving me was having a personal or business issue and the curt nature wasn't intended, just a byproduct of being overwhelmed by whatever was affecting the person. Other then that the employees I've encountered have been very friendly, accommodating and patient, even most often going out of their, sacrificing speed of service just to be extra thoughtful with suggestions, questions and efforts to ensure a wonderfully enjoyed meal. My experience there has almost always been full of excellent service and experience. There is a little follow up on this review as I exceeded the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time i went inside, it smelled really bad like mold. Such a strong stench of bleach, seems they failed to drown out the mold smell. After my sandwich was made, i proceeded to get me a drink, choice of sprite. Had a hint taste of mold so after that i did not doubt it. I dont think they clean there soda machines. I open my wrapper to pure dissapointment. Breads the consistency of charcoal. They shorted me on my meats. The meat was chicken, and i dont think chicken is supposed to have a sour taste to it. Hopefully what i was smelling wasnt rotten meat. I was worried i was going to get food poisoning. The sandwich was VERY poorly assembled. Every bite was just bread and chicken (very few small pieces of chicken due to the very small portion they put on my sandwich). Every other bite was like eating a veggie sandwich. The distribution was very uneven. I would have been more satisfied with eating a quarter cm thick piece of processed bologna with very low percent of real meat, atleast then i could say i had a good amount of meat on my sandwich. Dont come here, go crack open a can of spam first. I understand it cant be perfect and staff is sometimes busy, but i was the only one there at the time. Staff was so sleazy. Also, dont even bother putting in a order online or through the app. I ordered online and even gave them extra time, just to show up and my sandwich wasnt even made. I gave them about atleast an extra 15 minutes. Now i had to even wait longer. I pulled to the front and went inside after CLEARLY being ignored at the drive-thru window. I was suprised when i see no one in line and only 2 people in the lobby eating, as my sandwich was not yet even started and staff was standing around. I believe that ordering online is supposed to be easier and faster, so why did i have to show up and ask about my sandwich before they even acknowledged my order. I had quite a good amount of time to sit there and think while waiting for my order. At that moment i knew i would NOT come here...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBy far the worst subway establishment I have ever been There were two african american employees working there both seemed like they were distracted, I asked where my order I placed online was and male employees looked at me with a straight face and said if it was an online order I got 3 up what did you order I told him it was for Steven and he said listen next time just order in the store the online orders get messed up. He started talking to a another African male customer and stood there while I and 3 others waited he started working on my order (2 #3 monsters) he forgot the bacon ans put the wrong cheese on the sandwiches. If I wasn't there he would of ether not have made the order or messed it up completely. While I was waiting I tried to use the restroom it was horrible. Menu items where missing and not alot of bread was made. Really sad to be honest, I'm not want to judge but the employees there don't deserve or should be working for a restaurant like that. I know it's a rough part of town but that's no. Excuse to tell customers they don't care about online orders. They need to put the customers needs 1st. We are paying customers to order good quality food not garbage. I have contacted the subway Corporate office to complain about my order and experience there. I just hope I get a full refund. I am going to a different Subway for now on. I'm not saying that this Subway should be shut down. But I think an area manager should spend a good week or 2 with the employees there and see how they run the store. And get them...
