Issues with the app still cause problems at times, so check your email for a receipt that shows the bank transaction approval, a transaction number and the correct restaurant location. Sometimes, for some reason, the restaurant does not get the order, BUT as long as you have that email then they know that they're getting paid and they manually put the order through and serve you.
That can add an hour to your day as you wait in line for a cashier, etc etc etc
HOWEVER, McDonald's charges you when you put in the order; not the restaurant itself...
And that means a NO REFUND policy when you place the order on the app.
Soooooo, if the restaurant doesn't see your order in their system and you say the heck with it and leave, you will still see the charge on your account/card and with their NO REFUND policy, your bank/card company will be unable to successfully charge-back that transaction if you simply try to dispute it...
Meaning... you MUST call that restaurant for ANY refund...
EXCEPT, your order never made it into their system, so they might have to take it up the chain to Corporate.
Long story short... if your order is missing at the restaurant, it'll take less time to wait and get your food than to later try to get a refund, IN THIS SPECIFIC SCENARIO, which has happened to me once per year or maybe a 5% to 10% rate depending on the number of visits.

They were yelling obscenities like they were comedians, yelling towards a worker (I'm guessing she was their friend since she also thought they were funny) and just being generally rude, insensitive and intimidating to the other guests in the dining room. The entire time not one person said anything to these idiots. People with families got up and left after they came in...still not a word was said...not from any of the workers...not one! Read moreAt 4:45 on May 22 I went to try the new Mcflurry at my local McDonald's and I go the drive thru and I follow up with my order which was a large fry, one McChicken and the new Mcflurry. The person on drive thru said "sorry we don't have ice cream," and I said do have anything she again."we don't have ice cream and I said that's fine that will be all then I pull up to the window, pay and go to the next window and they say large fry, mcChicken and sweet tea. I said no and then she said sorry and then the girl asks the manager and she come over and starts talking to me in an accent saying 2 dollars over and over and I look at her with a disgusted face.
