Wendy's — Restaurant in Onley

This place has gone down hill fast; so fast I am beginning to think they have had a change in management.

On my most recent visit, I ordered my food, a crispy chicken sandwich with onion straws, pickles and sauce. Got the sandwich, took a bite and found it was loaded with mushrooms and the onion straws were cold and soggy. I asked for a replacement after confirming that I had not ordered mushrooms on my sandwich. The new one matched my order but the onions were still cold and not very appetizing, so much so I couldn't finish it. I walked over to the trash cans which were covered in dried ketchup and threw the food away.

Next up, the bathroom...it was disgusting. Water and urine all over the floor no soap in the dispenser, just a plastic bottle with no lid. The front of the paper towel machine was hanging open, no paper towels to be found. All in all it was an atrocious experience, so bad that I was genuinely surprised. I have eaten there plenty of tines in the past and it was never this bad.

I don't know what is going on at this particular location, but I will not be back until things have...

It's a shame that you cannot even get a restaurant to answer the telephone. I have been calling for 2 hours and 15 minutes and they still have not answered the phone and I'm just trying to find out what time they stop serving breakfast? Because they changed the time every other day when I go through there one day they say it's 10:00 the next day they say it's 9:00 the next day they say it's 10:30 the next day they say it's 11:00? I just have no idea and I have to drive 25 miles to go down there to get breakfast and it's like they don't even care, they always get my order wrong it's just a sad shame the management really needs to step up, I gave it another shot, and I ordered the $3 breakfast meal, my sandwich was cold my bacon was raw, and I'm going to stop by there after church with my receipt and I'm going to have to speak to a manager about this. At least my potatoes were hot, they were good but the raw bacon in the cold sandwich what's...

As far as fast food on the eastern shore of Virginia is concerned - particularly Accomack County - this is one of the better places to choose from. Yes, they just changed their menus to touchscreen systems. It is an adjustment. But it's an adjustment most of the fast-food chains are making as of late. Even though the food is made to order, it's usually pretty good. They don't have much in the way of registers so if you're going during the lunch rush, expect a wait. I also recommend steering clear of the avocado chicken sandwich. For some crazy reason I was expecting grilled chicken with sliced avocado and what I got WAS a grilled chicken sandwich - but it was splattered what's the most abysmal tasting guacamole I've had the displeasure of pleasure of putting in my digestive system.

That being said, they're still worth stopping if you need to eat and you're traveling or just don't want to cook...
