⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nestled in the heart of Ontario, Mackey’s is a delightful gem that exceeds expectations in every way. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. It’s that quintessential small-town restaurant vibe where everyone is friendly, and the decor adds a charming touch of local flavor. The standout feature of our visit was undoubtedly the service. Our server, Nichole, was absolutely fantastic. Her attentiveness and genuine enthusiasm for the menu made our dining experience even more enjoyable. She had an incredible ability to anticipate our needs and answered all of our questions with a smile. It’s clear that she loves her job, and her passion truly enhances the restaurant's welcoming ambiance. Now, let's talk about the food — simply delicious! I ordered the fish and chips and I must say they were something special. Unlike any fries we've tried before, they had the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, seasoned just right. I wish more places had fries that good. It’s obvious that the chefs put thought and care into the menu. The portion sizes were generous, leaving us satisfied but also excited for our next visit. The overall ambiance contributed to the experience as well; the intimate setting, friendly chatter of fellow diners, and the comforting scent of home-cooked meals created an atmosphere that’s hard to beat. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy great food, and feel like part of the community. We left Mackey’s with full bellies and happy hearts, promising ourselves that this would become a regular spot for us. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by — you won't be disappointed! Thank you, Nichole, and the entire team for a memorable dining experience. We can’t wait...

The Irish pub theme is carried throughout the restaurant. I lost count of how many Jameson bottles adorn the high shelf around the room we were in. The staff was friendly. The place was clean. I liked that the restaurant was broken up into several eating areas instead of one giant room, which helped keep down the noise on a busy Friday night.
Side Note: The pub down stairs has the same menu as the restaurant upstairs.
The Clams were awesome. Check the board for the bears on tap, the menu only has the a few listed. Their RIBEYE was spectacular and my wife had Cod Sandwich with their fries. BOTH were excellent the next day (always a good sign of great food). Lastly their brownie ala mode only lasted a few seconds and their Cheese cake was so delicious I wish I had the whole pie. We will be going back to try some of the more traditional Irish fare like Bangers and Mash and Shepard's Pie. CAN'T WAIT until next date night!!!.
10/9/24 Danielle was a very nice and pleasant server. The food is always good. And if you have any issue, they make it right.
Tonight was steak and colcanon mashed with gravy...YUM. The wife had a BLT. Of course I got a taste, very tasty. Nice amount of bacon on the sandwich, and the bread is so nice and toasty.
We make a point of swinging by here every so often. It's one of our go to place. Especially when mom visits from...
Read moreI wanna start by saying that we ordered at the restaurant... but the order was "to go."
This place is pretty cool. It is a very "Irish" setting. ( lol duh, it's an Irish restaurant 🙄 ) & I like all the Irish decorations & such too.
However, what I really did not like was that the lights were so dim. It made it hard to read / see the menu. But, I had a flashlight on my phone which made it much easier. 🙃
Speaking of the nenu... I recommend their Ruben sandwich... I am VERY, EXTREMELY picky when it comes to a Ruben sandwich 🥪 AND I don't like sauerkraut at all! But on this sandwich 🥪 is like a bite into heaven 😋 😍 🙌 so for their Ruben's I give it 10+ stars...
But on the other hand, my husband ordered a specialty hamburger 🍔 & idk 🤷♀️ where to even start w that catastrophe... My husband ordered the hamburger 🍔 to be medium rare (semi-pink in the middle), well his burger was completely burnt so bad it was black & not to mention... The Patty fell apart into 3 different pieces. So, trying to eat it was out of the question because the patty kept falling outta the buns. All of the veggies were "smeared" which made them slimy & not stay on the patty & in the buns. & made it even more impossible to eat. Now that's all with my husband's hamburger 🍔
Ok now onto the tater tot's we order... when we aye their b4, they were perfect & extra crispy, but this time they were soggy & mushy.
So the only good thing...
