By far one of the worst experiences I've had at any restaurant EVER. The place was literally empty (first warning), I asked for tea and was given a dirty cup; like literally I scraped gunk off with my nail. I should have walked out.
The server sat at another table with friends having a very loud conversation and some gossip I won't repeat. She ignored me completely.
I ordered a monster roll whuch they kindly replaced the salmon with tuna and edemame as an appetizer. After 15 minutes I got the sushi roll, and the tuna was partially seared and hard. The rolls were soggy. The server told me as she delivered it that my edemame was up but then she literally went back and sat down with her two friends and continued to talk for another 10 minutes. When I started to get up to leave, she rushed into the kitchen and then brought out very soggy edemame. Honestly, it was the only edible part of the meal. It arrived exactly 25 minutes after I ordered my food and 10 minutes after my main dish.
I tried to use the soy sauce and it was so coagulated around the spout that it wouldn't come out!
I couldn't eat much and should have loudly complained but I didn't want to be one of "those" people...it was very awkward. Once the server's friends left, so did she. I tried to go up and pay and there was NO ONE there! There was a lady at the sushi bar playing on her phone and when I asked for help she just looked at me. I finally went to the attached bar where I assume the manager was hanging out with some male customers. I told her I just wanted to pay and she asked where server was....I'm like, "I dunno; I don't work here". She went out and asked phone leaning lady who said she didn't know where server was and about that time server popped out of the back and said "sorry, I was helping the kitchen."
There was only ONE OTHER CUSTOMER there at the time. How busy could they have been??
Sushi was not awful, but not fresh or appetizing. I didn't try the tea in the dirty cup and the edemame was soggy but not disgusting.
Never again. I had 3 pieces of soggy sushi and some equally mushy...
Read more2 stars for the pleasant staff members. I was born and raised in Japan and have lived in the States for 20 + yrs (lived in Buffalo, NY, Morrisville, NY, New York, NY, Kenosha, WI, San Diego, CA, and Webster, TX), so I believe that I know what to expect or not to expect when it comes to a lot of Asian foods in this country, especially the Japanese food. I wasn’t expecting much from this place, considering the location and the size of the town. With that being said, this place is flat out disappointing… It’s not even Americanized Japanese food. What they serve is “something Asian that’s kinda, sorta, maybe inspired by Americanized Chinese” food. To be fair, the taste was not horrible, but it wasn’t great at all. I got a garlic shrimp teriyaki bowl with yakisoba; Yakisoba was simply a bland lo main (I’m sure the head chef or the owner has never seen, let alone eaten, yakisoba ever before), shrimps had NO flavors at all, and the house original teriyaki sauce shouldn’t claim to be teriyaki at all because it’s a false advertisement and completely misleading. By the way, one of the items on the menu has a wrong name. It’s called “chirashi”,...

The sushi is 95% rice. And the rice itself low quality and not cooked well.
The flavor of everything was less than mid. Everything we tried tasted like it could have come from the frozen foods section.
The mafachicken rice bowl we ordered advertised that it came with broccoli, carrots, and cabbage. But when we opened it I laughed. It was all cabbage with maybe 1 or 2 tiny ribbons of carrots and the most laughably small pieces of broccoli you can imagine. And then I look at the reviews and it looks like we're not the only ones? Meaning it's meant to be served that way? Also noticing many other complaints about the quality of pretty much all of the food here. Our order was to go and we were there right as it was finished. The staff did seem friendly from the brief time we spent there. And the establishment looked clean.
We won't be spending our money here again. Not trying to be rude but if this were my restaurant I would feel pretty...
