Tacos El Zarape — Restaurant in Ontario

I’m just going to say that this place is unbelievable! There are way more Mexican restaurants to eat from that serve great tasting food besides this place! It seems with our experience the only time they can get an order right is if it is exactly how it is on the menu or if your just grabbing a couple tacos. I don’t know if they are so hard up that when they get an order wrong that they can just start over fresh or what the deal is!?! The first bad experience was on Valentine’s Day (last year) we ordered an asada salad with NO Jalapeños... they not only put them on there but the salad looked like they just drained some of the jar and juice on it. When we took it back they gave us back the same salad in the same to go box but looked like they went through and picked the jalapeño off and drained some of the liquid off (didn’t even get them all btw) When I talked to the owner he made excuses about how busy they get that if it’s late his waitresses just want to hurry and go home. That if I’m ever back in town to get ahold of him so he could make it up to us by making sure our next order was right and give us a discount. We are truck drivers and always on the road so we pass through pretty often. Well we decided to try it again today and yet another bad experience... so we take our order back in and instead of starting over making our order fresh they did give us what we asked for in the end but with cold food from part of the order they got right the first time to go with it. Then charged us $32.... with all of that the way we get treated by the waitress is just down right ignorant. When we go to pay our bill while setting inside one of the waitresses will stand there hovering over you until you tip her and if it doesn’t seem big enough to her standards the next time you go in while she’s working she treats you poorly. We have walked in and waited for her to take others orders and wait some more. If we ask for chips and salsa while waiting just to give our order we get them tossed on the table in front of us.When I talked to the owner about it and explained he wanted a description.... then again explained how busy they get... So yeah I think it’s safe to say they will no longer be getting any of my money or business. I refuse to pay hard earned to a business who not only can not provide good service and fresh food both at the same time but I’m not going to pay to have there employees treat me poorly and that my business is not...

We DO NOT recommend this place to ANYONE unless you don't care how you get treated. They have no knowledge of federal laws and have no people skills on how to handle any issues or have any basic human compassion or human relationship skills or cares at all.

They are extremely RUDE!!!!!!!!

The employees need to know and understand some basic information before they start working in a restaurant or any retail establishment.

Giving customers a hassle and telling a customer with a service animal that their PET, which she is not, is not allowed there is NOT an appropriate response when a customer is trying to patraionize their business with their service animal with their service animal vest on which is not even required by Federal law.

We told the so called waitress that the service dog was registered with the National Service Animal Registery and has paperwork, which we are not required to carry with us or show, and that it was illegal to request to see it. That was after she requested to see her paperwork.

We requested to speak to a manager and the waitress told us that there was no manager there that we could speak to.

We called the local police to come to educate the woman about federal service animal laws and they declined to show up because they did not have time for such a request even though they knew that what the restaurant was doing was wrong.

So must be the owner is deleting the bad reviews. We was here about a year ago and i shared my bad experience and see its been deleted. It was bad and we ended up walking out of this pos place. The owner was VERY rude and disrespectful to a customer. We watched it go down. The gentleman walks in and had a service dog and told the waitress that he had others coming shortly. The owner walked over and the guy tells him its his service dog and shows the owner 3 times his tags. The owner told him the dog had to go. The guy said its my service dog. The owner said u can stay dog has to go. The guy said he comes every week with the dog and no issues. He walked out and on his way out we said to the guy with the dog that was BS and uncalled for for the owner to do that. Hes a SERVICE DOG. After the guy with the dog left the owner walks over an laughs about what happened with a group of people said he didnt care that the guy could take the dog to a shelter or leave him in the car but wasnt welcomed. Mind you there was NO signs about service dogs. Its illegal you cant tell someone they aren't allowed. We ended up walking out ourselves and went across the street. NEVER EVER will we give our business to this hell hole of a place. The owner should be ashamed of himself. Will not support disrespectful places no matter how good the food is. Shame on...
