I keep giving this place a chance, but it always lets me down. If you want authentic Mexican food that tastes like grandma made it, this is not the place. I had 3 tacos. Birria, asada, and carnitas. The carnitas and asada have a bland taste. The carnitas were hard. The birria is good but a bit salty. Their salsa verde is also very bland and is missing that sazon Mexican food is known for. No sazon in their dishes at all. I've also had their Chile rrellenos, and they're made to their own liking. If you go in there craving that traditional chile rrelleno taste, this place will leave you feeling very disappointed. It's made their way, not the trading way. Their food is always a letdown. I've had their chicken flautas also. They were bland. This is a good spot to just get something in your stomach, and that's it. I paid $13 for 3 street tacos! $13! That's $4 a taco! For them to have no flavor! Their food is too overpriced for the lack of flavor they offer.
The atmosphere is actually pretty decent. I imagine maybe going in there for a couple of drinks and some bland appetizers. If you enjoy Mexican food for the flavourful, traditional dishes it is, this place IS NOT IT. If you think this is it, let me tell you you're missing out. This is for people who have not had real authentic Mexican food.
The staff is always friendly. They're always talking about their own business in front of customers. Very unprofessional but friendly non the less. They do check up on you to...
Read moreA bit pricey for my taste but that averages out by how large the portions are, the jumbo shrimp battered tacos are delicious just wish the tortillas weren't fried a bit, el pastor tacos are good ..but again the tortillas were a bit much , green burrito is delicious but loses alot of its flavor by how spicy the Chile is about half way through the burrito is when u call quits. Decent place decent food cocktails and beer a good place to drink at (When it's Happy hour) friendly staff , chips and salsa are okay. I think if they adopt a new recipe for their salsas Taco Hut would be locals go-to Mexican joint imo , it's the little things that make the biggest...
Read moreThe other day I happened to be at Lowe's, & swore I smelled Carne Asada fries..so on my way home I googled carne asada fries near me...and it brought me back to (Lowe's) and then made a right to Taco Hut... So I came back again for the good Mexican food & good service. I forgot to ask the owner, or managers name, but she's awesome. I was going to take out, but they had the Young & The Restless on so I stayed to dine in. It's a quaint little sports bar, type restaurant, & it looks like they serve everything from tacos, to seafood, including pozole and menudo, so...
