O'choppers — Restaurant in Orange Beach

Sheri was completely awful. How is she even in the customer service business? First, she scolded us for sitting at a dirty table... saying that the reason we hadn't been served was because they didn't know we were new? Um, ok. Secondly, when my fiance asked if they had a drink menu, she looked at him as if he had two heads and said, "No, we're just a standard Irish pub." I don't even know what that's supposed to mean. Then, to top it all off, she asked if we were going to eat, and we said no, we've already eaten, we're just here for drinks... and she said... "It doesn't matter to me, either way." LMAOOO!!! WHAT??? Then, she brings a menu with drinks listed on them. Hahaha, I can't even begin to explain how rude this lady was to us. For NO reason. We just wanted to enjoy a nice evening together at a nice place. Pretty good place run by two hard-working guys from the Czech Republic, Miro & Milan. For me it gets too crowded later in evening but for younger tourists probably a great hangout. Noticed a lack of what used to be a necessity, having an attractive female behind bar.? Like ALL bars, restaurants & nightclubs here or anywhere I've been to lately, it is incredibly expensive to go out to & imbibe. Having been in the bar, restaurant & nightclub business in 80's & 90's & having frequented them starting again after 2010, prices have probably doubled since 90's!! To now pay $6 for a 12 oz glass of premium tho not imported, beer...just astounds me! Have wholesale prices from distilleries & breweries increased THAT much? Taxes? Economics says that with increased competition & therefore increased supply w/o a commensurate increase in demand, prices should have dropped!! Can someone explain this to a former owner who knows about inherent costs of...

It was our first visit here after reading what was mostly good reviews. There was only one other couple in the bar when we arrived. The waiter/bartender seemed to be bothered by our asking what was particularly good or what they were known for. He said "wings". My husband responded "we just had wing last night" and the waiter walked away. He made his one suggestion and left! I was totally shocked by his rudeness and wanted to leave. My husband talked me into staying and giving it a try. The food was prepared and served quickly. My sandwich was good enough that I would return....in hope of having a different waiter. He took orders, served and brought the check. If you want good food and have low to no expectations of friendly service you will like this...
