Firehouse Subs Orange City — Restaurant in Orange City

I witnessed the manager Ryan tell an employee she dropped her clean cloth on the ground. He watched her pick it up and proceed to wipe the food prep area with it. My sandwich was already made, so I walked out the restaurant with my daughter . I didn't want to cause a scene in the restaurant so I called back in to the restaurant to speak with Ryan the manager. I asked him what the protocol was when a cleaning cloth is dropped on the floor and he told me they are supposed to take it in the back, and wash their hands and go back to what they were doing. I told him I witnessed they young lady pick it up off the ground and wipe the food prep station. He said gotcha "What would you like me to do about it? And I said " I don't know what are you going to do about it? He said I will talk to my team. I told him I saw him tell her it was on the ground and watch her pick it up and wipe the food prep area and as a cancer survivor that turned my stomach sour. You guys have to do better. May 8th 2021 My wife wanted a New York Steamer from Firehouse Subs. Our closest location is Orange City. They are back in a small shopping plaza and I always drive by there. I love Firehouse but there signage could be better. I called Firehouse and ordered my wife's steamer while I was on my way. It was 8:50 and I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes which was the exact time it took me to get there. I arrived and one woman was ordering. Another man came in to pickup his order as well. The staff were polite and friendly. I got the sub and was leaving when one of the sandwich makers unlocked and opened the door for me. I did not realize they closed at 9:00 on the weekend. They could have just told me they were closing but they gladly took my order. The woman in front of me only ordered after 9:00. The man behind me only arrived about 9:05. They were happy to take our orders and I am grateful for the hospitality and kindness of they staff. February 2018 Always good. ...

Girl was very rude about the birthday sub. It was my boyfriend’s bday and we were going to dine in and me order a sub on top of his bday sub. The cashier said you have to have the app. So I asked can he just download the app, (his bday is literally today.) She said you have to download it 6 months in advance. So we decided to leave as that wasn’t exactly the treatment we were expecting on a special occasion and as we are walking out she turned to a coworker who was questioning why we were leaving and yelled out that we wanted “free food”. Please get some classier staff who say happy birthday, don’t have metal in their face and are nicer to your customers. I hope someone treats her just as poorly on her birthday for asking a simple question. I won’t be back to...
