I have lived in Western Essex County for most of my life. I actually used to walk by this place every day to get on the bus to go to school in the early nineties. If you don't know that it's there, it's easy to miss. I know them mostly from their products in the supermarket that my wife has bought on occasion. At the ripe age of 50, I decided that I was finally going to stop in to try their food. Very friendly staff and very clean on the inside. I went at lunch time and it looks like it is a popular police and fire department lunch spot (I felt like I was in a Chicago PD/Chicago Fire crossover episode, lol). My wife really enjoyed her chicken cutlet sandwich. Any one who knows me knows that I am a connoisseur of chicken parm dishes. The chicken parm sandwich here is outstanding...I really like the hearty tomato sauce. I would venture to say it is in my top five all time and if you know me, you know that I have eaten chicken parm sandwiches in probably more than a hundred places. Definitely top two in Essex. I prefer a softer roll, but that is my only knock if you want to call it that.
The only downside is that the parking in this area is a mess. I think I have found my new/old go to spot for lunch!
