Very slow service at the drive through. Two lanes and it seemed to take forever for the orders to switch from one side to the other (there was only one order taker, not two). As cars finished ordering and drove up to merge into one line (from the two drive through ordering lanes) there was a logjam because the lenghth of the one lane we had to merge into to get to the pick up windows was too short for the cars in the two ordering lanes. This, in turn, backed up the cars waiting to order because there was not a lot of room to pull forward after ordering and wait to merge into one lane because there were two set of cars trying to merge, which created a back-up in the ordering lanes. Not a very efficient layout. If the layout cannot be changed, then two order takers and more cooks might solve the problem by getting the orders into cars faster. When I got to the order window the order taker, a woman, was very abrupt and seemed angry when I asked a question. She sounded impatient and cut me off several times when I tried to say, for instance, to hold the lettuce on my sandwich. It was busy, for sure, but this interaction was driven by her obvious frustration over the job she had to do. As I pulled up to the first window (there are two from which to collect your meal) the women there were very nice. I asked one for honey mustard and another woman brought it. Then I asked for barbeque sauce, which had slipped my mind until I had the honey mustard. The woman smiled, said sure, came back with it and smiled as she handed to to me. I said, "Thank you so much!" in a very grateful way because she had been so nice. She smiled at me again. She was so sunny, charming and kind I wished she had been taking the orders. Do managers at these places ever drive through themselves with a friend or family member to place the order so they can monitor how their employees talk to customers? I feel they should because there is a lot of rudeness from some of the folks taking orders at fast food drive throughs. Wouldn't being nice make the evening better for those ordering and those working there?...
Read moreI understand that the employees at Mc Donalds are not customer service professionals. Alot of young ppl, first job experiences. I plead with this management to put these employees where their talents will shine. For instance, I just went through the drive through a little while ago. Around 12 today 06/09/22. The young blk woman, taking orders, was rude and not service friendly. Thats ok. If shes not cut out to deal with ppl. I fault mc donalds for not giving me what iam paying for. Iam paying for fast food with decent service. Not to be sassed by someone half my age . Obviously there are maturity issues and the lack of that customer friendly thing Mc Donalds is going for. The young woman did not want me to go over my order cause i was unsure. When i expressed to her that i should be able to go over my order if Iam not comfortable. She didnt hear me. She spoke over me till i stopped speaking. And told me we were done. I spoke with long time manager at this location. She heard my complaints agreed. When i drove off i felt ok about it. My husband noticed. Staff laughing before we could pull off. MC donalds i didnt pay to be treat unvaluable. Our community puts alot of money in fast food, so do I. I will be contacting corporate. Seeking resitution cause i feel totally...
