I hesitated writing this review because I was so hurt and disappointed. This happened about 5 or 6 months ago. My family and I have gone to this establishment for over 20+ years. The owner knew our orders so well until she would tell us what we usually ordered before we actually ordered it.
I decided to go thru the drive thru to order something to eat for lunch. After ordering, I heard a âpsstâ sound. My tire light came up on my dashboard. The air in one of my tires went from 35 psi to 5 psi in a few seconds. Then my tire went totally flat. My vehicle started leaning/tilting sideways in the front.
I got out my vehicle while still in the drive thru and saw that I had a flat. I didnât move my SUV because I knew that it would mess up the rim. Thatâs the last thing that I needed.
I looked around to see what caused the flat. I saw wire sticking out the concrete on a portion of the driveway. It punctured my tire. It was wire called rebar. Rebar is steel wire that you lay down on a house slab, driveway, walkway, patio, etc. before you pour the cement to help reinforce the slab. (I know what it was because my husband, his brother, and dad owned a concrete business and poured slabs.) I was their secretary at the tine.
I walked up to the window and filled the owner in on what had happened. In the meantime, her husband came outside in a hurry with a large tool to start cutting the wire. I told him to hold up, so I can take a photo of it. He had already cut most of it off by that time. I showed him how the wire had punctured my tire. He went back inside the building with no concern. He didnât try to help me or anything. It was so hot that day. The sun was beaming, and I was sweating all over, feeling faint.
I called around for someone to come help me. I finally got a hold of someone. In the meantime, the owner beckoned for me to come get my food. They didnât even offer me anything to drink while in that hot sun.
By the time, I got my food, the people that I called, came to help me. So I didnât get a chance to eat my food. It was in the seat of my vehicle.
Long story short, I went back up to the window to tell the owner what all was going on. I told her that the tire couldnât be patched, I would have to purchase a new tire that the wire in her drive thru did to my tire. I asked her if she would go half with me to buy another tire since the incident happened on her property. She first acted like she didnât understand what I was saying. Then she finally said, âNo!â I told her that this happened on your property. She didnât want to hear it. Then I asked her if she would at least reimburse me for my food because it was getting cold in my vehicle. Again, she said, âNo!â I was so hurt, disheartened, upset, and disappointed that the owner and her husband didnât make any attempt to help me, I didnât ask them to pay the price for an entire tire, I only asked for half. I donât think that was asking too much. I think thatâs the least they could have done or at least reimburse me for the cold food. The husband didnât hesitate to cut that wire off the concrete. Why they couldnât have that same energy to help me?
I got nothing, but a cold shoulder, cold food, no concern or compassion, and an added expense of a new tire.
I definitely wonât be going back no time soon spending my money to people that have no appreciation or regard for me: a widowed woman, a Christian, and a loyal customer that had an incident that happened on...
Read moreI have SEVERE shellfish and SEA SALT allergy. I have to be 100% sure that any restaurant I order food from has ZERO cross contamination between shellfish and SEA SALT with what I order as it is LETHAL to me. Most restaurants are able to understand food allergies and are able to give a CLEAR answer as to if I can eat there.
This place however CANNOT SPEAK OR UNDERSTAND ENGLISH IN ANYTHING REMOTELY UNDERSTANDABLE. When I and my girlfried both repeatedly tried to ask them about my allergies and spoke with multiple people there, THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT. THEY DO NOT HAVE SOMEONE THERE THAT CAN SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH.
We will NOT be eating there and recommend that anyone with similar allergies stay away from this place. Its not worth the chance of dying over.
They need to learn english to be able to work in a country where english is the spoken language. At the absolute mimimum, they need someone taking food orders that is able to effectively communicate with...
Read moreI'm visiting from out of state. I stop and buy my meal...get to my hotel and I see something moving in my plate. I didn't call this establishment, but I returned to address this serious matter. The manager stated she didn't know how this big got in my plate and went on to suggest I put it there. Quite naturally I became upset and requested a refund because a replacement wasn't optional. Wouldn't you believe they didn't want to refund me my money? After an exchange of words, she relented and gave me my money. I wouldn't suggest anyone eating here. VERY POOR customer service, not to mention you get unwanted visitors...
