Two stars because this place was clean. I know this because they literally poured bleach on the floor and started cleaning while we were eating.
First of all, I'd like to say this place was clean and the food was utterly delicious. However, it did not compensate for how terrible their employees acted.
We seated a booth and were immediately asked what we wanted to drink. Drinks were great, but we didn't get straws, wasabi, ginger or bowls for the soy sauce. So, I politely asked a waiter if we could have those things.
We got our straws and five minutes later we got the ginger and wasabi, great! I understand things happen and I wasn't in a huge rush.
What happened next was absolutely crap. The waiter came over and slammed, literally SLAMMED down a stack of at least eight of the soy sauce bowls right in front of me. Managers, if you have cameras, check it at saturday night 9pm. Right where my plate was, slam, right in front of me. Awkward pause. What? So, feeling very uneasy we continued our meal and they decide to dump bleach water within three feet of us, dousing us with some nice fumes. Okay? Seriously? Whatever, you got your orders and I'm just here to eat sushi.
Finished my drink, no waiter around. Waved at the waiter for a refill, nope. Waited some more, sucked ice, nothing. Eventually we asked for the check. We waited a few minutes before a girl finally came over when my husband left for the bathroom. She counted our items, and drinks. I added up the prices in my phone and was figuring out what I was going to tip. Crap service, probably 2$, but when I get up there, the price is 3.85 higher than what I calculated...okay, red flag. Holdon, lemme add this up. I go over the bill with the waitress, she taps on a calculator....something isn't adding up. Price still stands, no arguing, no itemized receipt, YOU PAY THIS. Right. Okay, I normally tip a MINIMUM of $4 on any meal I eat. 15% on a $20 meal for two isn't worth refilling my damn soda. I get it, I tip nicely. I understand your plight. Don't decide to add your own tip in on top. Just don't.
My husband and I eat sushi once a week, on the regular. We spend about 25$ every time with a five dollar tip. I like nice even single billed numbers. This sushi place is near our house.
Let's add this up. 52 weeks in a year, so we'll say 50 just in case we miss a week or two. Ahem- 50X$25= $1,250 That is the amount of money we could spend at your establishment this year, not counting for bringing guests over. $5x50= $250 This is the amount of money your wait staff could have received from tips over the course of a year.
Now, this is just me, and I know you're probably rolling you eyes right now, but imagine how many other people they've done this way who've stayed silent.
Don't slam crap in front of me. Don't pour bleach next to me while I'm eating and don't 'treat yo self' on my credit card because you can. If a customer shows concern, ITEMIZE. It's not...
Read moreUse to go here all the time since they opened. Customer service is so poor they told me they are too busy to give me an ETA when ready and don't have time to tell me how much my order Is over the phone. Because of the thick accent I wanted to hear back what I ordered to make sure its correct ( big order) cause I live 20 min out into the country, the gal sighed out of annoyance spoke in her language then repeated back my order in very broken english. When I showed up to get my order no one had a mask on and no gloves and they where eating from their prep tables. I ordered Moji and it tasted freezer burned and the dough itself crumbled instead of being soft and slightly chewy while the ice cream was soft inside. I won't go back just because their customer service was so horrible and if their Moji is that old, there's no telling how fresh everything else is. I've spent hundreds of dollars over the years they have been open. They just lost a good loyal customer. I use to bring all my friends and family there. Not any more. Very disappointed. I'm sorry, but speaking in another language to someone that clearly doesn't, especially over the phone then switching to a language we both understand is very rude and disrespectful and unprofessional. It's your job to service good quality food in a good clean environment. Don't like what you do then quit. Your lucky to even have that position during a pandemic like this. My seared salmon wasnt even fresh. It's suppose to be warm, not room temperature or as cold as sitting in a fridge. I will no longer return. I always eat my seared salmon in the parking lot as a snack so I get it fresh. So disappointing to watch this place fall down to pieces each visit. Now I'm no longer going back....
Read moreI brought my 10 year old here to kill time while my husband got a haircut. We read their door at 1:56 which had a BIG sign about their happy hour being from 2-4. We walked in and were told to go to a booth. The table was clean but the booth seat kept sliding further from the table, which was hard for my kid who was super embarrassed to have to try to push it back in place. The waitress asked us what we wanted to drink and we requested waters, which she brought but no straws. I asked her how the happy hour worked and she said everything turns into a yellow or green plate, she couldn't remember... oooooh kaaaaay.... so we waited until another waitress walked by and asked her. She was more helpful and explained that blue, purple, and red plates become $2 and yellow and green plates stay the same. By this time it was just a little after two so I gave my daughter the go ahead to pick a few plates. All in all the sushi was okay, not amazing but not bad. When my husband texted that he was done and ready to go it was about 2:20 so I asked the waitress if she could total us up when she had a chance. When we got to the register with our little slip she tried charging us the regular price even though she was the one who had explained how it worked at 2:00. Rather than just fix it she called over another woman from behind the sushi carousel who said that she watches for happy hour and she would fix it just this once. Personally I found this ridiculous and rude. It's not doing me a favor to charge me correctly. We won't be going back if this is how we could expect...
