The Honey Baked Ham Company — Restaurant in Oregon City

Today was the first and last time I will visit this Honey Baked Ham establishment... I am going to quickly point out why I am giving this place 1 star. The older gal at the cash register was new and no one was assisting her. A friend and I ordered 2 meals. They found it very inconvenient to split tabs for our carry out order that we called in 45 minutes prior. They were not busy but the old bigger man was very rude and had no customer service skills. He was rude to the new gal trying to work the cash register. It is very clear the staff needs to be replaced. It seemed they had a we don't care attitude!! I am on a pre-op diet and was only able to have salad. It was pick 2 Salad, soup, sandwich. When I asked if I could just have salad. He said "we aren't doing that!" If that isn't an option maybe rephrase to, I'm sorry we don't offer that." He was a total ass and I would not recommend this place to anyone. They do catering and I came here to try their food for our large lumber mill... I am in charge of catering our 50+ staff members. It was clear this was a 2 lunch low budget we don't care about your order service! Well that cost them a large catering order......

Used to love coming to this place. But one bad employee has me not wanting to return till they are gone. This is now the second bad experience with this same employee. Old man brown hair with a combover and teeth rotting. He has 0 customers service what so ever. I started to say my order he put his finger in my face telling me to hold on. Then after ordering complained I had to many substitution all I asked was for one of the other breads and cheddar cheese instead and have never been told it was a problem by anyone else. Went to order a second sandwich and was again told to wait with a finger In my face. With the second finger in my face I walked out without finishing my order. Will not return till he is gone. Their food is pretty good. But they don't often give you what you order. I tried getting a turkey sandwich, and they gave me ham, which if I hadn't noticed would have put me in the hospital due to an allergy. I called and talked to management and got it straightened out. Then I tried to get a sandwich another couple of times for my mother, asking for no lettuce because she can't eat it due to medical problems, and both times got lettuce. I'm not saying it was intentional, but the same girl has been there working each time, and has had something to do with my orders each time and has recognised me. If I ever feel the need for one of their sandwiches I'll wait for the urge to go away and save a potential trip to the hospital. Sad since their food is...
