Let me start by saying that many would give this restaurant five stars. The only reason I do not is there is a fluctuation in quality that I believe is dependent on either who is working or how busy they are. With this said, their "bad" days are some of the best Mexican food you can find in Oregon. Their "good" days rival the best Mexican food you can find in Texas. This is coming from a native Texan -- one that lived there for a good portion of her life. It's still this fluctuation that can lead to occasional disappointment despite how good the food is. It's like air conditioning: once you've had it, you can't go back to dealing with the heat.

This restaurant is small. They have a cozy sit down area, but it is not large and I would not recommend it. Their meals, from order to pick up, only take at most five minutes. I personally recommend ordering takeout.

This location has aquas frescas (fresh waters) such as Horchatas and the like as well. The Horchatas haven't been as good the last couple of times I've gone, but I'm not sure if I've caught the end of the mix or if it's a different mix / recipe. Either way, they're a nice treat on a hot day or with a more casual date.

All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for authentic Mexican food. It's not the fancy, trumped up Americanized stuff. This is real Mexican food made and owned by a dedicated and skilled family. Don't let the single missing star deter you. If you're in Oregon and want real Mexican, this is where...

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Aside from the food being wonderful this is what they did for me.... I was coordinating lunch for 20 and was glad to be able to organize it through Doordash delivery service. I had a number of questions that I asked via Facebook about food sensitivities and could they label all of the items so that it would not be a nightmare to get it to the right person. Gabriel was very responsive over Facebook messenger. At 10:56am the day of the meeting I received an automated text message from Doordash saying my order had been canceled because the restaurant was unable to fulfill it (note: delivery was scheduled for 11:45-12:15). I immediately called the restaurant and they were as confused as I was. I then called Doordash who could not explain why the order has been canceled and there was nothing they could do once the order was canceled. I immediately called Gabriel back and asked if there was anyway the order could be delivered (note: delivery is not a service that they provide). But somehow he made it happen!!! If that wasn’t going above and beyond!!! And, they were able to email me my receipt so I could get reimbursed since I didn’t manage to hold on to the one that came with our meal. This was my first experience with Super Torta and after this experience I plan on becoming a regular customer. I just can’t say enough about how impressed I am by them. And seriously, it’s the best al pastor that I’ve...

Man, I love this place! Super Torta was introduced to me by my boss who lives right up the road in Oregon City. And it’s no surprise that she lives so close to this place and still hasn’t gotten bored of it.

This place is excellent! The food is stellar, though I can only speak for the burritos. Not only are you getting a baby sized burrito (size of the baby, not of the baby’s food), but you’re also getting it real quick outside of the lunch rush. I usually get the carne asada or carnitas burrito and they haven’t steered me wrong yet. I went today and had the carnitas and fell asleep for two hours after getting home! No complaints here!

The service has always been nice. They are kind and quick and with the food they’re serving that’s all I can ask for!

The ambiance is simple, but when you’re as focused on the food as you will be you won’t have time to look around. It’s always been clean and welcoming!

Personally I always pair my burrito with a lime Jarritos and an extra side of pico de gallo. A warning to the uninitiated: if you ask for extra pico you’re gonna get a cup of it! I’ve never had a problem finishing the entire side with my entree but there are some who might be intimidated by the portion!

If you’re in Oregon City, or even Portland for that matter, come down to OC to see the river, the beautiful scenery, and order from...

We recently stopped by Super Torta for a casual lunch and had a generally good experience, though a few things could have been better. One thing’s for sure — they don’t skimp on portions. Every dish we ordered was loaded with meat, which is always a welcome sight when you’re hungry. I ordered the al pastor, and while I appreciated the generous amount, I probably wouldn’t choose it again. The meat was a bit on the tough side, and the pieces were cut into larger chunks than I’m used to. It made the overall bite less enjoyable and a little awkward to eat. I typically expect pastor to be a bit more tender and finely chopped, so this version didn’t quite hit the mark for me. On a more positive note, I really enjoyed the sweet tamale. It was moist, just the right amount of sweetness, and had a comforting, homemade flavor that really stood out. We also had the carne asada torta, which was okay. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t stand out either — the flavors were mild, and the bread was decent but not particularly memorable. Overall, Super Torta offers good value with hearty portions. I’d come back, but next time I’ll try a different protein.
