Out of the way drive for me but well worth it! Heard about vegan Sunday offerings, so had to check it out. So many choices that day, much more than the better known PDX donut shops that offer a few vegan varieties, if that. Warm and friendly place, and what a charismatic, down to Earth owner. As soon as he heard I was a first-timer, he immediately offered me a free donut on the house to try! Plain glazed, oh man! Soft, sweet and yummy. Coconut, maple, jelly filled, fritters, I could go on. I gained 5 pounds from the bakery smells alone😛 The line kept building while I was there. Went about 10-ish in the morning and the vegan racks were about half-way gone, so go early. And plenty for everyone else. Twice as many, if not more, regular donut varieties on display. Like many others there, did a lot of smiling in that donut shop, and not just when I walked out with my dozen. (Mine!) Worth the drive and the calories! I'll be a repeat offender for sure! 🍩🍩🍩

The vegan donuts on Saturdays are excellent. The traditional raised yeast donut style is my favorite and Donut Palace has a big variety of flavors, especially if you get there early. I prefer these to the more expensive and trendy "artisanal" donuts available elsewhere in town. Can't go wrong with vegan Boston Cream, Maple bars, apple fritters, several types of jelly donuts, as well as old fashioned with or without frosting. (If you're a vegan who likes Ronald's Donuts in Las Vegas -and who doesn't?- you'll love these donuts, too.) The gentleman who owns this shop is always very friendly and welcoming. We make the trip from southeast Portland every chance we get.

The doughnuts are about average, not overly good but not horrible either. I would say that some of the bars seemed a bit stale. Overall selection (during earlier parts of the day) seemed about average. Prices also seemed on par with other doughnut establishments. Do note that there is a $0.35 transaction fee when paying with credit cards. The professionalism of the staff could also be improved. The guy behind the counter spreads to have white doughnut powder on his clothing and around his mouth, as well as was not as friendly and welcoming. Also, despite their hours being open until 3 pm, I was informed that they often close early. Thus, inconsistent hours.

Really good donuts at a good price, definitely taste like they're "home made" if you will, in a good way. Krispy Kreme donuts all taste the same, no matter what flavor you get, and sometimes you just want a sugar bomb and that's OK.

Donut Palace has a good variety of unique flavors, the donut itself is not too sweet, but the frostings and fillings round off the sweetness factor. The bavarian cream is good. My fav is the chocolate cake donut with chocolate frosting.

Bonus, one day I stopped in feeling very blue due to the loss of my betta and wanting comforting sweet carbs--as one does-- and the guy who helped me box up my half dozen donuts threw in a handful of donut holes when I wasn't looking. Very sweet gesture, no pun intended.

I will mention the first time we tried to stop in, early afternoon don't remember the day of the week, there was a sign saying they were all out of donuts and closed. That sense of not knowing for sure if they'll be open or have much left to choose from will definitely keep us from stopping by sometimes, if it's past noon. Don't want to waste your time driving over if you're not sure whether they'll be...

Perfection!!! By far the best doughnuts I've ever had, (except for my Grandma's homemade ones cause nothing can beat that)! I had read the reviews so went in and bought a dozen of varied kinds. Honey dew (glazed), apple fritter, chocolate buttermilk, cinnamon twist, strawberry ring, chocolate old-fashioned, cappacino, maple bar, crumb cake, lemon, boston creme filled, and mango. We tried the Honey dew first, cause I figure if you can't do a glazed correctly, you're gonna have problems with everything else. It was nice and tall, light but spongy and not to airy with just the right amount of glaze. The apple fritter had lots 9f apples and cinnamon, and the chocolate old-fashioned had chocolate that seemed as if it had a hint of cinnamon or chili powder. The mango had a tasty and large amount of mango jelly in it that didn't taste fake, though it was my least favorite, mainly to do with the granulated sugar on the outside. The man who served us was very friendly and helpful and we will most...

The donuts at the palace are AMAZING! Had to go all caps there, especially for their cheescake donuts. The strawberry cheescake donut will change your life. I have not had anything quite like it. To make it even more enjoyable the owner and people who work there are just wonderful. The owner, who makes all the donuts fresh every morning, is just so passionate about making and sharing these delectable treats. You can tell that he puts his all into each and every one. You have to try the fruit donuts. All of them. Especially the cheescake ones and the mango filled and guava filled. They use fresh fruit to make their fillings, not canned processed stuff! I don't usually like fruity donuts expect apple fritters until Donut Palace. If you need to show up at an office party or get together with a treat in hand and don't feel like baking get a few dozen from here and they will be a hit. Just make sure you get there early because they sell out pretty much every day. Seriously love...
