So we go to the coast pretty regularly on vacation. We usually go down the road to a pretty famous pancake House for our breakfast fix. However we saw this newer restaurant and decided to give it a try. It felt really good as far as the atmosphere is concerned. There was no shortage of people coming in to eat which is always a great sign.
You go inside and sit anywhere you'd like then they come and take your order. The food was very good and nothing was wrong with any of it. But the coolest part of the whole experience was the free pancakes that the children had. They came with whipped cream and sprinkles making a smiley face. They were so delicious. A big hit with the children and an even bigger statement to others in their industry. The fact that these pancakes are free to kids is such an incredible thing to do. Not everybody can afford to have that breakfast experience with their family. But this place allows even people who struggle to go in and give their kids awesome memories. The prices aren't that bad. The service is stellar. The food is even better.
Another thing that stood out to me was that the coffee tasted amazing. I normally have to doctor my coffee up pretty good but this coffee was perfect.
We've definitely found a place we'll be returning to. If you're zooming around town in the morning or even in the afternoon and you're looking for a place to duck in and get a bite to eat, this place is...
Read moreSo let me start by saying, we were able to get seated right away. However, from the time we were seated to the time we got to order food was an hour. We had to wait for menus to be available, and then we had to wait a 45 minutes to get our order taken.
I do not blame the waitress, she was running around attending all of the tables, with only one busser and one helper for the entire restaurant. It was obvious they were short staffed, that is when management should have stepped up to help. Never have I ever had to wait that long just to order food. From the time we sat to the time we finished eating (only took 20 minutes to eat) was 2 hours total. The food was standard breakfast food, but it's obvious the kitchen was struggling as well as my bacon had parts that were undercooked and parts that were overcooked. The pancakes were a bit tough and chewy as well.
We should have paid for our drinks and left, however it was a special treat breakfast for a friend of mine who recommended the restaurant. My friend now will no longer come here, because it is obviously poorly run. I ended up leaving food we ordinarily would have taken to go, because I didn't want to wait another half hour.
Our waitress despite running around and had to be exhausted delivered excellent service given the...
Read moreThis restaurant would have alot of potential if it was ran right. We went in and my husband who is a chef got the baby back ribs all you can eat. And I got the chicken fried dinner with mashed potatoes, i did ask if they had skins and she told me no. The waitress took our order and said she would be back with our salad plates (they have a salad bar) we waited, looked for her and she never appeared except to bring our food, we asked for the salad plates and we ended up going and getting our salad, which was one of the things my husband was excited about, by the time we were going to eat our dinner, it was cold, the ribs still had the membrane on the bone which is normally pulled off, the ribs were not tender, the chicken fried steak was good, the potatoes are home made which they were good but cold and full of skins. The steamed veggie mix on my plate was good, right texture, but my husband's was liked mashed veggies, the consistency of both plates were not the same. Very sad, our waitress was nowhere in sight, the only waitress who seemed to have it together was the very long braided dark hair lady, and she was being harass by some customers. I get it people are rude, but the way the restaurant is being ran, it is very...
