I used to like coming here with my family but this place has gone downhill. Today (December 29th,2018) me and my siblings came here for dinner. I was in the waiting area and called my sister to make sure we were eating on the non-sushi side. One of the servers overheard me and interrupted me while I was on the phone and says āwait, youāre waiting for a table with a chef? Thatās gonna be impossible, we are backed up, if you donāt have a reservation thereās no way.ā And I just said okay, but spotted a huge empty booth and asked the hostess if we could sit there and she was nice and said of course. All of the servers were nice except for the first guy I talked to (shorter Caucasian guy with a beard). I was hoping he wouldnāt be our server but he ended up taking our order. 4/5 of us ordered and two were debating about if they wanted fried rice or noodles, and not even 5 seconds into that the waiter goes āis that it?ā before I even got to order, in the most annoyed voice ever. At this point I was ready to ask him what his problem was, thatās how much of an attitude he had with us. The food took FOREVER. Probably a good 45 mins. We had a few servers come up to our table and ask if we were still waiting on food. it wasnāt even that busy. 4/5 of us ordered our steak medium rare, it came out room temp and WELL DONE. The chicken tasted like it was made way earlier and then microwaved. It was so hard it literally hurt to swallow. I wish I was overexaggerating. The only hot thing on our plates was the veggies. It was obvious that everything was made previously, sat there, and came out when the veggies were finally done. I am not the type to go on rants and write bad reviews, but I am so upset that we just spent $176 on cold, over cooked food. Perhaps they are under new management but there has been a shocking change downward in everything about Fujis including attitude toward customers, poor and inexperienced servers, poor food portions, poor food quality and a higher price point where the hot grill food is concerned. We made a reservation for 7pm. We were still waiting on the pre-dinner salad at 7:53pm when the main coarse hit the table. We asked about the salad and they promptly brought dinner salad but we could not partake in it at the expense of our meal getting cold. When I did sneak in a bite of the salad, the lettuce was bitter. The Sunnyside Special for 2 is a joke unless you like paying $82 for a plate full of fried rice and noodles. There was very little chicken and beef compared to before and the vegetables were sparce in proportion, over cooked and poor quality. We were told that there was no room for us to sit at the grill and we would be seated at a table adjacent but still be able to see the cook prepare our meal. There were 2 of 3 grills open while we dined and we never saw a chef the entire time at any of the 3 grills. Our meal was prepared behind closed doors and delivered to the table cafe style. Very sad really because we have been customers of Fujis since the opening and we will no longer be returning. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love Fujiās, but wonāt be back. We placed a to-go/pickup order online. When I got there the order wasnāt ready, I was told they were waiting on 1 food item, no problem. I waited for another 15 minutes which seemed odd considering I was waiting on a fried food item and I initially gave them 20+ minutes to complete the order before I showed up.
When I finally got my order the bag was tied shut, but I noticed all the sauces were missing so I went back in and asked for them. I get home the fried food that I waited an extra 15 minutes for was missing. I called right away letting them know and the person in charge (not the manager) offered to replace the item, but I told them I wasnāt going to be driving back so he offered to have that item refunded to my card. I agreed. 2 days go by, no refund, I call again and spoke to the same guy, he stated he remembers me and told the manager because he left him a note and they said theyād take care of it. Another couple days go by and I call spoke with someone else explained the situation and they took my name/number and said the manager would call me. Still no return call. I called 1 more time just on principle and was told again the manager would call me back. Of course that didnāt happen.
4 phone calls with no response or resolution.
At this point itās not about the money I spent without getting my food, itās the lack of customer service.
