The Fried Spot — Restaurant in Oregon

Nice folks. I really like their food, too. They have a good selection of hot fried comfort food and they're in just the right place, at just the right time, for folks who might be looking for such things in the pit of night. They're just a few blocks from my place so I can walk there, and burn some of the calories off while their delicious mac n cheese keeps me warm on the way back.

The folks running the cart were very friendly - local to the area. I wish I'd have stayed to chat a bit longer, but i was having a rough one tonight and it was SUPER cold!

This was my first time here. The only suggestion I can make is to offer a bench for people waiting for their food who didn't drive. Otherwise? The owner was friendly provided good service and the food was Ah-MAZING! I got the rockfish meal with zucchini fries. The fish was perfect. No hint of fishnets. The zucchini fries could've been sliced a little thicker but the taste was great. I generally don't like a dill tartar sauce but this was a perfect mix of dill and sweet. My son loved his chicken strips and fries. They chicken was moist and cooked to perfection. Everything was seasoned just right. This food is among the best I've had, period. The fact that I found it on a cart off the beaten track in Milwaukie is unbelievable. The collard greens are an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. Flavorful juicy tender and explode in your mouth. The baked beans are to die for. The rockfish, halibut and shrimp were perfectly prepared. Did I mention that they're gluten and dairy free which just blows my mind. My family couldn't stop raving about how delicious the food was. The only thing better was the owner was there and his warmth and generosity are reflected in how delicious the food tastes. I would give this place six stars if I could.
